Great video! Do you know if the last number or letter of the FCC ID on the back of these new controller colors end with "A" ? Reason I'm asking is the old launch controllers of the white and black dualsense, back in 2020/2021, Ended with the number "1" of the FCC ID. But because a lot of people reported back then of drift issues, Sony enhanced the mechanisms of the joysticks and triggers to make them more durable with the FCC ID ending in "1A". Instead of the old ones with "1". The new "1A" got introduced on the purple, baby blue, pink, FF16,GOW, camouflage, and Spider-Man 2 controllers. It looks like the new enhanced durable controllers moving forward are these ones, compared to the old build ones in 2020/2021.
2:30 you can see the FCC ID ends in 1B Also all controllers, including black and white are all new batches with updated mechanisms. Besides the FCC ID, the alternate way to check on any of the new controllers for updated mechanisms is to look out for the UKCA symbol on the DualSense box as well as back on of the controller. In this video you can see the UKCA at bottom left of the box at 0:35
@@legendofafq Thanks a lot for that helpful information I appreciate it. So I couldn't find the UKCA on the outside box itself. I'm in the America region. But I do see the UKCA symbol on the black of the midnight black, the Spiderman 2, and purple controller I have and ending in the letter "A". Does this mean the one that ends with letter "B" is only in the new Red, cobalt blue and upcoming silver ones? And I'm assuming they made even more enhanced improvements with the joysticks/triggers on the "B" then the "A"? Funny how Sony publicly never announced these new features until people made videos and did teardowns and recognize this. I'm assuming all their controllers moving forward will be ending in the letter "B" of newer builds. Still the same lithium battery but better mechanisms which is good. And way better then the white/black launch ones.
I have 3 ending in "1A" and two of them still show stick drift problems. So apparently it hasn't been resolved yet. Edit: these new ones ending in "1B" are of course still relatively new so not many people have purchased them yet and so there will not be many people who can say whether these are without stick drift problems. But I wouldn't get my hopes up too much.
@@--PaZuZu-- regardless which version you have, NONE of them fix analog drift. Rather it’s said that the likelihood of it happening is lower than previous models. However the 1A models introduced thicker trigger springs so they don’t snap or get loose resulting in a flimsy trigger.
Bouta buy this color, looks sick

Would really love to buy a color controller like this one but on a ps5 dualsense edge controller 😁
they would probably charge you an extra 100 for that lol
True 😂 but it would be really cool to have more colors for the dualsense edge than only white. 😊
