    I am often disappointed when people have lip fillers because they often get too much, or seem to become addicted to lip filler.

      I agree to what you said. When I started with lip filler I was told by many that I’ll become addicted and will add more and more filler. However, doing lip filler for almost 4 years, I still do it every 9 months, and only 1 ml every time. I think it depends on the person.

    I think it's important to mention that looking older is not the end of the world (Of course if your intention was to look younger, it wouldn't be the desired outcome). Our obsession with eternal youth is really unhealthy because aging is a natural process, trying to avoid it will only cause problems in the long run.
    I'm not saying that plastic surgery is a bad thing, people should be able to choose how they look, but the anxiety and social pressure is. We should accept every body and every look, shaming people for not looking "youthful" is just dumb.
    (Disclaimer! I'm not at all saying that Dr. Youn is shaming people, he is very respectful and explicitly says that all bodies are beautiful no matter what. This is just something I've noticed on social media, such as tiktok, where people, particularly women, are being pressured to look younger than they are. )

      It's like we're supposed to hit 25-35 and stay there forever. But that's not how humans are.
      I actually wouldn't mind looking a little older. I'm 29, but I look so much younger, and people don't always take me seriously because of it, especially at work.

      Aging will always be a natural process, some people just allow themselves to be fooled into believing they can stop Father Time instead they often end up looking unnatural and at the worst case scenario “botched”.

      @EweTube4 7 місяців тому +1

      I am not fooled at all. You absolutely must go to a professional who has done a lot of injections ifvyou eant work done. I have had not had any filler or botox for several years now. But I will say that my injector is one of the best in the country. She actually presents seminars to doctors and shows them how to do the best type of injections and how much. She always tells me what she is doing and she has never over-filled me.
      If I could afford it, I would have some surgeries done by a board-certified plastic surgeon. But until then, I embrace my age. I have great genes. Blessed. (70 in 9 days)

    I knew buccal fat removal and fillers would be in this list. Buccal fat removal actually makes some people look older. Bella hadid has had it(and many more) and before I knew that she was younger than Gigi I always thought she was the older.

    • @thatgirl634
      @thatgirl634 8 місяців тому +7

      @@TielMama777 Not necessarily. Depending on how much you have removed, it can seriously age you. Then when you do get older, you'll end up looking 10 to 15+ years older than what you really are.
      Removing the buccal fat at younger age won't make you look horrible, but it will look bad as you get older and older. I would never tell anyone what to do, but the advice I would give is to do this wisely because it won't come back on it's own after it's been removed. So if you do end up ever having this procedure done, be careful and good luck. 🙏🙂

    I'm glad that you differentiated the benefits vs adverse effects of buccal fat removal with _round_ faces. It makes a big difference for round, chubby faces. So many YT PSs are talking about refusal to do buccal fat removal across the board instead of considering how individual faces are different and how some _do_ benefit. Why stop because of one group of faces?

    I always felt plastic surgeon was there to help people look better because of an accident or facial defect from birth. I live in Canada and while there is cosmetic procedures done, I don't think it is as popular as it is in other places. Plastic surgeons are usually consulted for medical reasons. For example when I was about 11 or 12, I was sent to a plastic surgeon by an orthopedic surgeon. The plastic surgeon and the orthopedic surgeon worked together. Between the two surgeons , I had three major operations on my hand. Now I have a big cyst by my left ear and if is removed, it will be done by a plastic surgeon because where it is on my face.

      I’m from the US and I was surprised in my early teens when a plastic surgeon was the one we had to go to to get my lip fixed
      I was scratched by my cat in the face and it severely split my lip - it definitely wasn’t going to heal right naturally.
      When my mom told me we were going to a plastic surgeon I thought it was weird. I thought they were only for elective stuff. But my mom explained he would know how to suture my lip so it wouldn’t just heal but it would heal and look right.
      She was right! Almost no one could tell I had a scar afterwards and now many years later you can’t tell at all. It really grew my appreciation of plastic surgeons and shows like Botched & content from Dr. Youn has really shed a light on the positive things they do for people not just electively

      Iirc, there are two major branches of plastic surgery. Reconstructive and Cosmetic.
      Cosmetic plastic surgery is more profitable than Reconstructive, but reconstructive is definitely the heart of it since if you can learn how to reconstruct, you can learn how to do it cosmetically
      Both have their places. Nothing wrong with wanting to be more aesthetically pleasing for one’s self.

      @@thetableoflegend9814 My sister had skin cancer on her forehead and a plastic surgeon took care of that and you cannot see where there was anything done. There are so many procedures that plastic surgeons do, that were created to help people heel from injuries but people and some doctors have gone to extreme. For example the tissue expanders were used to make a new breast for ladies who had breast cancer but people are misusing the procedure. There are some women that want such large breast that they are putting their health at risk.

    I need upper blepharoplasty on both eyes because the skin is so droopy that by the afternoon it impairs my vision. My last Ophthalmologist told me 8 years ago I could have it repaired at no cost. I moved to another city and my new Opthalmologist said he's never heard of that before. I'm considering going back to my last Opthalmologist to see if he can arrange for it to be done. The plastic surgeon he was talking about is wonderful; he removed a large melanoma on my father's face and he took a flap of skin from his forehead to replace the cancerous melanoma. It was so successful that after a year there was no visible scar at all. The Surgeon took photos monthly of my Father's face and has used them to show other patients who need the same procedure done how they might look during the healing process. I really hope I can have both eyes done because it's a nuisance. I live in Canada and I had a plastic surgery procedure done at no cost because it was for a medical condition and not a "vanity" thing as he described it to me in 1980.

I am so confused about what will tighten the area around my mouth. My nasolabial folds aren't too bad. I look gaunt around my mouth. Sagging and loss of elasticity. What do you think about threads? Dr Youn hates thread lifts, he says so in this video, as they're extremely temporary, like a year at most. You can get a little bit of filler to rebalance the area, otherwise a lower face lift will change the area more permanently to get rid of sagging skin.

That fake look is so associated with old people that it makes a 50-something person who has had a facelift look like an 80-year-old to me. She also was wearing her hair in a style that covered her forehead and ears, which is one of those things people do to hide scars from the facelifts.
      Someone I’d be very interested in seeing in person is Jane Fonda. She has had some of the best work I’ve ever seen, at least on TV. She’s in her 80s but has the face of someone MUCH younger. If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
    10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Please repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior
