Tried this yesterday night for an hour on a demo racket. Can’t wait for its actual launch as this is the most fun racket i have used. Sounds great, feels fabulous, plays amazing. I have not bought a brand new racket for years and I am so tempted to buy this. Love how it looks now, please don’t change the appearance too much, Head.
Comparing it to a Clash 98? No way, that one’s a thicc boi (24mm of beam fatness)! I wish they’d used a GPro type mold/beam with a 98 headsize and made it an 18x19.
Yeah, I knew the Clash 98 would be a bit of a reach but with how arm friendly the stiffness rating is on the Gravity 98 Tour I just wanted to throw it out there because it’s not usually mentioned
The whistle sound is from the bumper design as in the Prestige 2023…sounds great lol…strange someone else said it’s rated quite stiff which confused me after I hit with it, 58 sounds more like it
That is strange that someone else said it was really stiff. Hopefully the quality control on them isn’t so far off to where they feel like completely different racquets
I don’t have a specific video dedicated to just 98’s but I do have one video that explains the differences between 100 head sizes and 98 head sizes that will give you pretty good guidance/information about the head size. I think it’s called “Should I get a 100 or a 98 head size?” If you go to my channel’s home page and sort the videos by popular it should come up after a little scrolling
I see this as being a more easy on the arm control frame compared to the Blade 98 16X19 and Ezone 98. Not as much power as the Ezone in my opinion but about the same amount of control as the Blade
@@brodytaylor2020 Too bad, then the new Gravity probably won't be suitable for me. I need this balance, even a little less, when it's strung. As the weight is already at the upper limit for me, there is unfortunately nothing more I can do. Let's see, I'll test the racket anyway.
Everything I've seen about this tells me it shouldn't be a Gravity but they just ran out of other lines to put this racquet in. Not to say it won't be good or anything I just think it should have had a 16x20 or 18x19 string pattern at least if it was gonna use the Gravity name. Everyone seems to like it a lot though so I'm looking forward to trying it out myself. Also - I have noticed the whistle / chirp sound in some other videos of it. I think it's pretty cool lol.
I hit with it last week and felt it played denser than I expected, string tension was super low though(felt like 40lbs)so tighter it’d feel more open I’d say and I’d probably get more unpredictable launches, I still got some on my backhand if I didn’t commit or get it right, it liked to be ripped rather than hit flat. The whistle is from the bumper design like in the Prestige 2023
The Auxetic kind of stiffens up the impact feel, didn’t feel like a noodle really, especially compared to the 2021 Vcore 97D which is RA61 and feels like it bends like a piece of rubber…
Head does have a lot of racquets. It starts to make it confusing as to what each racquet is going to help you with if you are just seeing all of them and don’t know the exact details of them
@@brodytaylor2020 speaking to my local HEAD rep and it’s a common complaint although a lot of people(myself included) like that there’s so many options..they are all different, my only issue has been that there’s too many racquets I want to demo😂
Finally, 1k subs! Congrats to you, Brody!
You're good at what you're doing and I pray for your successes ahead.
Again, congrats! Super happy for you.
Thank you so much for the kind words, encouragement and for watching! It means a lot
Congrats for hitting a 1000 subs🎾🎾🎾🎉
Thank you so much Alex!! It’s only up from here!

@@ATA-wi2lh No, that’s a way different mold and a 95. But wouldn’t it be great to get a true “Speed Legend”.

@ I think they were saying that it’s actually rated as a higher RA…maybe they read something wrong possibly
Is the Stability good in this G98?
What racket do you compare to in terms of similar Stability?
Hey man I’d love if you can do a video on 98s as a whole. Pros and cons and what it actually does! Unless you already got one

@ thanks!
Gravity MPs are super fun and user friendly IMO
Hi Brody, how would you compare the gravity 98 to the extreme pro?
I would say that the Gravity 98 is going to have less spin and power than the Extreme Pro but will have a little bit better control and comfort
@@brodytaylor2020 witch one you belive is the most maneuverable? and the most demanding?
I’ve heard the chirp on the Head Radical MP as well.
how about the maneuverability, is it the same like blade 98, or more like gravity mp?
Maneuverability is more like the Blade 98 rather than the Gravity MP
Thanks! How do you see this one comparing with the blade 98 16x19 and ezone 99?

@ tks! Correct to say more power than the blade?
Yonex Sv95 has the same thing with the ‘chirping’ sound
Interesting. Thank you for letting me know!
Another important spec - what’s the balance point?
hear hear !
Yes, please measure the Balance-Point. What about the thickness of the Beam?
Balance with no lead and string for my specific one was 32.5 centimeters so somewhere between 5 and 6 points head light if I did my math right
@@brodytaylor2020 Too bad, then the new Gravity probably won't be suitable for me. I need this balance, even a little less, when it's strung. As the weight is already at the upper limit for me, there is unfortunately nothing more I can do. Let's see, I'll test the racket anyway.
The strung racket i tested was 330 BP, 330 weight and 323 SW.
Tennis nerd also mentioned the loud sound when swing fast
If he mentioned then at least I know I’m not crazy then
How is the stringbed predictability vs the Boom Pro?
I personally didn’t notice much of a difference but the Gravity 98 Tour may be a little more predictable

Yes, I was expecting the tour to be 16x20. If there’s the MP, I hope Head retains the 16x20 100”.

I think an 18X19 would have been a really interesting pattern for Head to put on this racquet
Head just has too many rackets now. And they update them way too often. I swear the gravity just came out. 58 ra is a noodle too.

It definitely was a different type of feel when I first hit with it
