hi! I’m so excited for you! hmm I think starting with weight 4 or 5 yarns might be easier than thinner yarns. I’m a visual learner, so learning from UA-cam videos was the best option for me. I started by finding beginner-friendly projects I wanted to make on UA-cam and following the video tutorial. As a beginner, I would learn how to make a chain, magic circle/ring, and single crochet. These are the foundation to all projects. Then you can learn different stitches like half double crochets, double crochets, treble crochets, alpine stitch, bobble stitch, etc. Let me know if you have any other questions!
When that happened to me, I tried looking for another tutorial. The person’s teaching style just might not fit your needs, or maybe it’s too advanced for a beginner. What are you making?
