Messi has played the game at the highest level anyone can, no player can possess all that ability again.. it’s more than scoring, dribbling & passing, it’s the way he does it and how often he has been doing it which proves that what he does isn’t a fluke, he has mastered the game and plays it so simple and that’s why at his age, he’s still starting games and providing results

The older part was players like Pele, Maradonna, Puskas etc. Then it moved on to late 80s for players like Zidane, Henry and others then it went to the more recent stage past 2000 with players like Messi. well that is not necessarily true. you could make a compilation of all his games and then upload it. that would do him justice, it would contain everything. the video would have over 4000hrs as of now though and i doubt youtube allows for that big uploads. although im sure youtube would make an exception in this special case if applied correctly to them.

Ronaldo is one of the best in his positions. He did great things I've seen other great forwards like Torress, Drogba, Crespo, Lewandowski, Shevchenko, Pele, Maradona, Henry, etc have done. In Messi's top 20 solo goals he dribbles the ball around a total of 65 players. That's an average of over 3 players per goal ranging from 2 to 6. I was being overly strict with Messi's goals if anything and I don't count a dummy that gets you half a meter space in which to shoot at the goal. I am only counting players that have been beaten to the point they are no longer able to affect the outcome. There isn't another player in the history of the game that has stats that you could realistically draw an good comparison from, I've looked! Ronaldo if you would believe only passes 3 on one occasion and 15 in total!
