"CARIOCA"(Yeomans) - a real "VIVA" arranged & performanced by John Molinari

This amazingly virtuosic performance will wake up the celebratory spirit in anyone with it's strong South American flavor. The term "Carioca" is actually a term applied to anything related to the city of Rio di Janiero. With this recording John truly captures the festive spirit of the Brazilian people. I honestly don't know how he plays those repeated bass notes at such a jaw-dropping high speed...his technical brilliance is bar none! During his lifetime he toured Europe, Scandinavia, the Baltic States & the Soviet Union, but for the most part, he remained in the San Francisco are where he performed & taught until his death in 1989 writes his son John Molinari, Jr.

My favorite accordionist. My mother introduced me to John when I was around 10. I was speechless- here was my hero standing in front of me and I was frozen. What a moment.
