@@kj3-o7m it's a very dense and complex story, yes. I've always loved that kind of story since I was a little kid, and even I felt nervous reading the original novel. But I loved it. I've read 4 of the original series, 8m almost halfway through the 5th, and I can't wait to finish of all the books. It's definitely not as mainstream or accessible as Star Wars, for example, but if it's up your alley, it's such an amazing and inspiring journey.
Sean, this year, i had a breakdown. After years of multiple relatives and parents telling me I don't like anything, I actually believed it. Maybe it's my general pessimism and cynicism that led them (and myself) to believe this. I had a conversation with my dad about how I am really bad at talking with people. I genuinely don't know how to start a good, interesting conversation. Maybe I should ask what they like? And then continue with what I like. But the thought that I have nothing that I'm interested in persisted. I believed I was such an uninteresting person with nothing of value. He then told me, well you like going to the movies, and watching movies. My brain lit up as I realized this. I cried, even though there was no legitimate reason to cry. As corny and unnecessary as it was, I cried like a baby. Finally, after several years, I remembered that I DO have an interest. I still don't know why this got me to cry so much, I guess it was some sort of inner sadness being released or something. But anyway, I want to thank you Sean. You've been a part of my journey toward self acceptance. I feel a bit better about myself, because I know and I am glad that I like to talk about movies way too much.
15. Conclave 14. The Order 13. Kingdom of the PotA 12. Furiosa 11. Deadpool & Wolverine 10. Longlegs 9. The Fall Guy 8. Civil War 7. Didi 6. Wild Robot 5. Alien Romulus 4. Wicked 3. Dune Part 2 2. Anora 1. The Substance
@ I liked it, but thought it slowed down a bit too much in the second half. A Complete Unknown, however, would have made my top 5 if I’d seen it prior to making this list
My Top 15: 1. The Wild Robot 2. Dune: Part Two 3. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 4. Inside Out 2 5. Alien: Romulus 6. Smile 2 7. Nosferatu 8. Bad Boys: Ride or Die 9. Deadpool & Wolverine 10. Dìdi 11. Abigail 12. Strange Darling 13. A Quiet Place: Day One 14. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 15. Rebel Ridge
I was so disappointed that the wild robot was not there as I watched and then I saw its placement and was reminded why I love this channel. That movie made me cry multiple times because it just connected on so many levels. My daughter and I are both autistic, and we both felt seen and understood. Not to mention that it was just beautifully constructed.
Since I saw 14 films this year I will share my top 3. 1st- A three way tie between Dune Part 2, Twisters, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. 2nd- The Fall Guy 3rd- Bad Boys Ride or Die
Here's my top 15: 15. Longlegs 14. Gladiator II 13. Monkey Man 12. Twisters 11. Deadpool & Wolverine 10. The Substance 9. Nosferatu 8. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 7. Wicked 6. Civil War 5. Challengers 4. The Wild Robot 3. Anora 2. Dune: Part Two 1. Inside Out 2

Thank you for another great year talking movies Sean! And Happy New Years everyone! 11 and 10 are tied for me. These aren’t the best, but MY most favorite films of the year: 11. Hayao Miyazaki and The Heron - The Boy and The Heron is one of my favorite films ever. This documentary on my favorite director only amplified my love for the film. 10. Deadpool and Wolverine - for all its flaws, I was constantly rewatching it. A love letter to Marvel and its films from before. 9. Sing Sing - interesting exploration of how art can set you free, neatly shot and directed, and great performances. 8. Anora - brilliant and compelling writing, interesting and engaging dynamics, it’s the best A Cinderella Story yet lol. 7. Perfect Days - a chill, sweet film with positive messages and vibes. 6. The Wild Robot - one of DreamWorks best, no doubt. 5. Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - the Sonic film I’ve been waiting on. It also had my most favorite third act of the year. 4. SPYxFAMILY Code: White - I love the anime/manga, and I’ve rewatched this a ton. Perfect for when I want my quick fill of the series. 3. Hundreds of Beavers - hilarious and a nice throwback to old timey films with cartoon mayhem ensuing. 2. My Hero Academia: You’re Next - I’m biased over one of my favorite mangas ending, but it was a blast. Big action, a great score, and it reemphasizes the core themes of the series. 1. Dune Part Two - visually stunning sci fi epicness, everything about the film is to praise, considering we don’t get many films like this anymore. Honorable mentions: Challengers, Robot Dreams, Look Back, Flow, Lord of The Rings: War of The Rohirrim, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
@@peterfrost377 out of those I’m most excited for Chainsaw Man. I don’t really like Demon Slayer much so that’s not even close to one of my most anticipated movies of next year 😅
1. The Wild Robot 2. Deadpool & Wolverine 3. Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story 4. Challengers 5. Wicked 6. Conclave 7. Sing Sing 8. Dune: Part II 9. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 10. Heretic

That’s a great ranking. Personally my ranking would be: 1. Wicked 2. Hit Man 3. The Substance 4. Anora 5. A Complete Unknown 6. A Real Pain 7. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 8. Dune: Part 2 9. MaXXXine 10. Babygirl 11. Alien Romulus 12. Lisa Frankenstein 13. Twisters 14. Saturday Night 15. Gladiator 2 16. Inside Out 2 17. Furiosa 18. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 19. Deadpool and Wolverine 20. Megalopolis ( I’m still trying to meet someone else who has seen it to discuss what a buzzard film this was) 23. Madame Web (honestly as awful as a movie that this is I haven’t enjoyed watching a bad movie this much since the Mike Myers Cat in the Hat film from over 20 years ago)
Great list, Sean! Thanks for all the awesome content this year. Here's my picks. 1 - The Substance - An absolutely bonkers movie with powerful messages and visuals that will stay with you long after 2 - The Wild Robot - Easily one of my favorite animated films of the past decade. It handles it's story, characters, and message with so much care. 3 - Deadpool and Wolverine - It provided one of the most entertaining experiences I've had in a theater since Spiderman No Way Home 4 - It's What's Inside - A clever and creative sci-fi horror-esque thriller that will keep you laughing and keep you guessing what'll happen next 5 - Dune Part Two - A masterfully crafted movie that gives all of the payoff you want, all of the epic action you want, and the visual spectacle you want. 6 - Anora - When it's comedic, it's one of the most hilarious films of the year. When it's intense, it's very dramatic and emotional. 7 - Smile 2 - I liked the first film fine but this one really doubled down on the intensity and focusing on a celebrity who's under a lot of pressure already added to the experience so much. 8 - Alien Romulus - A really enjoyable clash of the stuff I love from Alien and Aliens, with some insane curve balls thrown in and fantastic practical effects. 9 - The Fall Guy - I have a real soft spot for this one. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt make for a great duo, it's got entertaining action, awesome stunts, and it's the movie I've had the most fun showing to friends. 10 - Longlegs - An eery, dark, and at times extremely uncomfortable (in a good way) experience featuring outstanding performances from Nic Cage and Miaka Monroe.
I think the substance was amazing besides the last 15 minutes they went way to far with what she started to look like took me away from the movie and message to much
Leaving aside that Deadpool 3 is the most redeemable movie of the comic book movies, this year has been very good for cinema and its different genres, there was something for everyone, whoever says otherwise is someone who needs better taste or more fun in his/her life.
1. Dune: Part 2 - Easy Number one and one of my new favorite movies of all time 2. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 3. Nosferatu 4. Longlegs 5. The Substance 6. Deadpool And Wolverine 7. Heretic 8. The Fall Guy 9. Abigail 10. Monkey Man For me another great year for movies especially for horror

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story is my favorite film of the year. It's a beautiful, meaningful look at one of the most inspiring actors of all time.
My favourite was Sonic 3. I've been a fan of the series since I played Colours as a kid 14 years ago, and I absolutely loved this new movie that felt like it was made for lifelong fans by lifelong fans. Keanu Reeves' Shadow was so incredibly cool but no one can deny how much Jim Carrey stole the show! Double your villains, double your fun!
My top 10 movies of 2024; after seeing 70 theatrical release movies: 1.) Horizon: American Saga 2.) A Complete Unknown 3.) White Bird 4.) Bike Riders 5.) Wicked 6.) My Old Ass 7.) Madame Web (honestly as awful as a movie that this is I haven’t enjoyed watching a bad movie this much since the Mike Myers Cat in the Hat film from over 20 years ago)
These aren’t the best films of 2024. These just happen to be the movies that made me love movies the most in 2024 10. Hit Man-Richard Linklater and Glen Powell deliver a thoroughly enjoyable movie that’s able to be funny, clever, and entertaining, while not easily being compared to one specific kind of film 9. Strange Darling-A great, subversive serial killer thriller with fantastic performances from Willa Fitzgerald and Kyle Gallner and a story structure consistently reframing the characters and events from start to finish 8. Inside Out 2-Even if Pixar doesn’t currently have the reputation they once had, that doesn’t mean they can’t deliver a fantastic animated film like this one with plenty of imagination and poignant moments to make for something great for all ages 7. Terrifier 3-As a gigantic fan of Terrifier 2, this sequel delivers a worthy continuation of this lore and these characters with fantastic practical gore effects, a wonderful Christmas setting, and David Howard Thornton giving his best performance as Art the Clown yet in my opinion 6. Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story-The exploration of how Christopher Reeve’s near-fatal accident in 1995 was able to not only inspire the lives of millions, but also become the best version of the man he could be for his family, peers, and himself 5. The Wild Robot-Dreamworks’ incredibly profound and touching story of acceptance and parenthood with beautiful animation, great voicework, and a moving score to make for one of the best movies Dreamworks has ever made 4. Challengers-I don’t think I would’ve found this tennis movie revolving around a love triangle specifically engaging on paper, but it’s able to be executed with plenty of style and amazing performances to really bring it all to life 3. Anora-A cohesive blend of romance, drama, and dark comedy to make for an incredibly holistic experience of a film with Mikey Madison being the glue holding all those elements together to make for one of my absolute favorites of 2024 2. The Substance-An instant classic in the body horror subgenre that’s able to be incredibly gross in its body horror while being just as socially relevant in its exploration of beauty standards and with Demi Moore’s performance being my favorite performance of 2024 1. Dune: Part Two-Denis Villeneuve delivering the second half to his adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune with immaculate detail, great performances, massive scale to the story being told, and thematic resonance for a sci-fi epic I absolutely think will be celebrated for years to come
Happy New Year! This was a weaker year than the previous two when it comes to movies, but I haven’t seen all the movies I want to watch yet. A lot of the movies people were praising this year, were either boring or just ok to me. This is my top ten right now: 1. The Wild Robot 2. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 3. Young Woman and the Sea 4. Inside Out 2 5. Alien Romulus 6. The Beekeeper 7. Dune part 2 8. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F 9. The Fall Guy 10. Twisters (It’s so funny that The Wild Robot is also your number 1. I wrote the list before I watched your video)
2024 was obviously fated to be a worse year than last year cuz of the actors strike. Edit: also because Sony underpaid their animators so No spiderverse sequel sson

There’s a lot of great animated movies this year. The Wild Robot, Inside Out 2, Transformers One. But my favorite of the year, and I want more people to see this, is Flow. This is about a cat’s journey in the midst of a great flood. No dialogue, no human characters, just pure animals interacting. Beautiful!

@cooperwolfe5478 Awesome stuff bub, Hitman, A Complete Unknown, a Real Pain, Gladiator II & Furiosa were all some of my absolute favorites too. Megalopolis woof what a picture. I loved the experience but can't coherently describe a scene of the movie without my brain breaking lmao. Not ashamed in the slightest to admit I've seen Madame Webb three times that shii is hilarious

Heres my top 10. Honorable Mention. Red One (idk I actually really enjoyed this movie although not enough to put it on the list) 10. A Quiet Place: Day One 9. Longlegs 8. The Fall Guy 7. The Wild Robot 6. Transformers One 5. Fallout (I know it's a TV show but I loved it!) 4. Deadpool and Wolverine 3. Alien Romulus 2. Inside Out 2 1. Twisters I didn't get to see everything I wanted to this year so this is just a list of what I was able to see. No Dune 2 :( Edit: movies I want to see eventually that came out this year (Dune 2, Heretic, Nosferatu, Civil War, Gladiator 2, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and so much more...)
I saw most of the big movies this year, but here is my top 5 favorite films 1 Transformers One I LOVE Transformers, I am such a big Transformers nerd and I have been for my whole life (which isn't a long life so far since I'm just 18). Originally, I didn't think this was going to be good because of the first trailer, but then the second trailer convinced me and the movie was much better than I expected. Also the Energon Axe made my entire year. 2 Dune Part 2 I loved it! In terms of cinematography and effects its near perfect, but that pacing really hurts it to me, but that's more the books fault. 3 Wild Robot No notes, it wins my best of the year, but Transformers was my favorite. 4 Sonic 3 WOW, I only have played a few of the games and seen a few of the shows, but I hadn't consumed any Sonic media in years until the week before it's release when I caught up by watching the 2 movies before and Knuckles, and man this movie was way cooler than I expected! 5 Deadpool and Wolverine Now, I don't love the plot on this one, but the action and comedy were what I showed up for in the theater and I was impressed by both of those.
My top 10 (faztokens are my way of rating things) 10-If (8.5 faztokens) 9-The Fall Guy (9 faztokens) 8-Inside out 2 (9 faztokens) 7-Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes (9 faztokens) 6-Dune Part 2 (9.5 faztokens) 5-Gladiator 2 (9.5 faztokens) 4-Deadpool And Wolverine (9.5 faztokens) 3-Transformers One (10 faztokens) 2-Sonic 3 (10 faztokens) 1-The Wild Robot (11 faztokens)
@ it’s basically the same thing 1 faztoken = 1/10 and 10 faztokens = 10/10 (11 faztokens means an 11/10, which means i think the movie is a masterpiece, although I don’t really give an 11/10 often)
My top 10 : 1. Civil War 2. Late Night With The Devil 3. Dune 2 4. Inside Out 2 5. Challengers 6. Here 7. Hitman 8. Joker: Folie A Deux 9. Wicked 10. Saturday Night H.M: fly me to the moon, blink twice, the substance, wolfs, spaceman, furiousa, fall guy, speak no evil, strange darling

I’ve seen Numbers 10, 9, 6, 5, 4, 2 and 1. There’s a lot of beloved movies that came out this year that I didn’t see so not all the best movies will be in my list but I’ll get to them eventually. I will also add some 2023 movies that didn’t release in Ireland until 2024 (because I saw them in 2024 so I’m counting them). Here’s my favourite movies of 2024 (not in any particular order)… Deadpool and Wolverine The Wild Robot Dune Part 2 Inside Out 2 Twisters Challengers Transformers One Wicked The Boy and the Heron (this movie released in cinemas in my town, something I had never seen before so of course I went to it. And I was so happy when it won the Oscar, I literally screamed YES so loudly, I woke up my whole family). The Holdovers Poor Things Also saw a bunch of rereleases this year such as… Stepbrothers Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Spider-Man The Amazing Spider-Man Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope Spider-Man Homecoming Interstellar Shaun of the Dead Hocus Pocus The Polar Express Die Hard So in terms of movies I think I did pretty well.
Honestly? "Transformers One". ^^' As a fan since I have memory, this movie was an absolute gift!! Yes, there were better movies I watched this yes but this one will forever be in my heart. :')
I don’t watch as many new releases as Sean in a year. But, in 2024, I watched the most I have in quite a while. So, here are my top five: 5. Gladiator II. 4. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. 3. Deadpool and Wolverine. 2. Transformers One. 1. Dune Part Two.

@ thank you. Sean said he had a similar experience with Kraven the Hunter that you did with Madame Web. Him and the audience he watched it with just let the absurdity of it wash over him and just laugh at it. I also want to watch Megapolis. I have heard mixed things about, but, it intrigues me on its very concept. I live in Australia, which is considered the arsehole of the world by most people, and, is consequently treated as such. So, my chances of seeing Megapolis are slim (and, potentially, costly). Unfrosted, by its very nature excludes an international audiences. As an Australian, I have barely heard of Pop Tarts, and, certainly haven’t eaten one. And, I am quite sure there are plenty of people that haven’t even heard of them.

@@cooperwolfe5478Dude I remember that Cat in the Hat movie! When i was younger, it felt like the biggest thing to see this like- childlike character curse and be crass. What a terrible, fun movie. I wish there were more bad-fun movies these days rather than just mediocre ones. I like your list! Here’s the rest of the ones I’ve seen in 2024: 11. Dune: Part Two 12. Deadpool & Wolverine 13. Christopher Reeves was my hero growing up. I would watch Superman growing up. I worn out my vhs lol I would watch on the t.v. Sunday nights when it aired. John Williams' score just gives me goosebumps when i hear it. Hearing the guitar riff I get new goosebumps and flashback of Williams version. I watched it with my children when the new trailer released and my second oldest son. Was confused when Superman turned back time to save Louis. Then, he asked what happened to all of the other people he saved before that. I told him we don't talk about that part, and we let just let it go.

That’s a great ranking. Personally my ranking would be: 1. Wicked 2. Hit Man 3. The Substance 4. Anora 5. A Complete Unknown 6. A Real Pain 7. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 8. Dune: Part 2 9. MaXXXine 10. Babygirl 11. Alien Romulus 12. Lisa Frankenstein 13. Twisters 14. Gladiator 2 15. Inside Out 2 16. Saturday Night 17. Furiosa 18. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 19. Deadpool and Wolverine 20. Megalopolis ( I’m still trying to meet someone else who has seen it to discuss what a buzzard film this was) 23. Trap 24. Madame Web (honestly as awful as a movie that this is I haven’t enjoyed watching a bad movie this much since the Mike Myers Cat in the Hat film from over 20 years ago)
@@cooperwolfe5478 Also, since you did 22 in your list, this is what my 16-22 are: 16. Challengers 17. Saturday Night 18. The Beekeeper 19. Nosferatu 20. Bad Boys: Ride or Die 21. A Quiet Place: Day One 22. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
I’d love to hear everybody’s thoughts on my list…good and bad… 1. Dune Part II 2. The Wild Robot 3. Saturday Night 4. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever 5. Juror #2 6. Civil War 7. Twisters 8. Inside Out 2 9. Deadpool and Wolverine 10. Gladiator II
I am glad you put Gladiator II on your list. I really dug it. I am not a fan of the original 2000 film. I thought the sequel improved on the original in almost every way.
Sonic 3 is my #1 movie of the year-not because it the best, but because it was my favorite. I’m not gonna try to argue that it’s got a better script than Dune, Furiosa, Inside Out 2, Wild Robot, etc. because it obviously doesn’t. But it’s the movie that brought me the most joy out of anything I watched this year, and sometimes, that’s enough.

Gotta love a 2017 movie making a Best Movies of 2024 list
The Wild Robot is also my fav movie of the year and I was so happy to see it at the top of this list. It made me almost relive my childhood again and captured the same charm and depth of some of the best animated classics from 2000s. Peak cinema.
Dune Part 2 is easily my best film of the year and in my opinion, along with Part 1, the best science fiction story of the modern era.
💯
Agreed
You spelt cinematography wrong
i think it’s just me but i really just find dune a drag to go through
@@kj3-o7m it's a very dense and complex story, yes.
We always learning and evolving mate best of luck to you on your journey

@@JScotty4Reelwas you able to catch nosferatu or didn’t it not make the cut
@ I liked it, but thought it slowed down a bit too much in the second half. A Complete Unknown, however, would have made my top 5 if I’d seen it prior to making this list
My Top 15:
1. The Wild Robot
2. Dune: Part Two
3. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
4. Inside Out 2

I only watched 40 new releases this year, so here is my top 10:
1 - Furiosa (the only movie that was really great for me personally)
2 - Inside Out 2
3 - Deadpool and Wolverine
4 - The Wild Robot
5 - Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
6 - Alien Romulus
7 - Young Woman and the Sea
8 - Dune part 2
9 - Wicked
10 - Ultraman Rising
Young Woman and the Sea is actually really good! I showed to my family and the all loved it!
Finally! Someone giving Furiosa the love it deserves. It’s also my #1
Watched Rebel Ridge last night based on your recommendation. Holy crap, so good, thank you
Thank you for another great year talking movies Sean! And Happy New Years everyone! 11 and 10 are tied for me. These aren’t the best, but MY most favorite films of the year:
Nice list man! Here's to another great year of movies in 2025 🍻

Great list, Sean! Thanks for all the awesome content this year. Here's my picks.
1 - The Substance - An absolutely bonkers movie with powerful messages and visuals that will stay with you long after
2 - The Wild Robot - Easily one of my favorite animated films of the past decade. It handles it's story, characters, and message with so much care.
3 - Deadpool and Wolverine - It provided one of the most entertaining experiences I've had in a theater since Spiderman No Way Home
4 - It's What's Inside - A clever and creative sci-fi horror-esque thriller that will keep you laughing and keep you guessing what'll happen next
5 - Dune Part Two - A masterfully crafted movie that gives all of the payoff you want, all of the epic action you want, and the visual spectacle you want.
I think the substance was amazing besides the last 15 minutes they went way to far with what she started to look like took me away from the movie and message to much
My favourite has to be Deadpool & Wolverine. it just made me so happy. Just started the video but I'm sure it's great!
1. Dune Part 2
2. Longlegs
3. Anora
4. Nosferatu
5. A Real Pain
6. The Substance
7. Deadpool & Wolverine
8. Conclave
9. Wicked
10. A Complete Unknown
Leaving aside that Deadpool 3 is the most redeemable movie of the comic book movies, this year has been very good for cinema and its different genres, there was something for everyone, whoever says otherwise is someone who needs better taste or more fun in his/her life.
1. Dune: Part 2 - Easy Number one and one of my new favorite movies of all time

9. Strange Darling-A great, subversive serial killer thriller with fantastic performances from Willa Fitzgerald and Kyle Gallner and a story structure consistently reframing the characters and events from start to finish
8. Inside Out 2-Even if Pixar doesn’t currently have the reputation they once had, that doesn’t mean they can’t deliver a fantastic animated film like this one with plenty of imagination and poignant moments to make for something great for all ages
7. Terrifier 3-As a gigantic fan of Terrifier 2, this sequel delivers a worthy continuation of this lore and these characters with fantastic practical gore effects, a wonderful Christmas setting, and David Howard Thornton giving his best performance as Art the Clown yet in my opinion
6. Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story-The exploration of how Christopher Reeve’s near-fatal accident in 1995 was able to not only inspire the lives of millions, but also become the best version of the man he could be for his family, peers, and himself
5. The Wild Robot-Dreamworks’ incredibly profound and touching story of acceptance and parenthood with beautiful animation, great voicework, and a moving score to make for one of the best movies Dreamworks has ever made
4. Challengers-I don’t think I would’ve found this tennis movie revolving around a love triangle specifically engaging on paper, but it’s able to be executed with plenty of style and amazing performances to really bring it all to life
3. Anora-A cohesive blend of romance, drama, and dark comedy to make for an incredibly holistic experience of a film with Mikey Madison being the glue holding all those elements together to make for one of my absolute favorites of 2024
2. The Substance-An instant classic in the body horror subgenre that’s able to be incredibly gross in its body horror while being just as socially relevant in its exploration of beauty standards and with Demi Moore’s performance being my favorite performance of 2024
1. Dune: Part Two-Denis Villeneuve delivering the second half to his adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune with immaculate detail, great performances, massive scale to the story being told, and thematic resonance for a sci-fi epic I absolutely think will be celebrated for years to come
🔥 list man, knew Terrifier was gonna be on there 😂
Terrifier 3!!!! Hell yeah! 🔥🤡🔪🩸

There’s a lot of great animated movies this year. The Wild Robot, Inside Out 2, Transformers One.

I didn't get to see everything I wanted to this year so this is just a list of what I was able to see. No Dune 2 :(
Edit: movies I want to see eventually that came out this year (Dune 2, Heretic, Nosferatu, Civil War, Gladiator 2, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and so much more...)
I saw most of the big movies this year, but here is my top 5 favorite films
1 Transformers One
I LOVE Transformers, I am such a big Transformers nerd and I have been for my whole life (which isn't a long life so far since I'm just 18). Originally, I didn't think this was going to be good because of the first trailer, but then the second trailer convinced me and the movie was much better than I expected. Also the Energon Axe made my entire year.
2 Dune Part 2
I loved it! In terms of cinematography and effects its near perfect, but that pacing really hurts it to me, but that's more the books fault.
3 Wild Robot
No notes, it wins my best of the year, but Transformers was my favorite.
4 Sonic 3
WOW, I only have played a few of the games and seen a few of the shows, but I hadn't consumed any Sonic media in years until the week before it's release when I caught up by watching the 2 movies before and Knuckles, and man this movie was way cooler than I expected!
5 Deadpool and Wolverine
Now, I don't love the plot on this one, but the action and comedy were what I showed up for in the theater and I was impressed by both of those.
My top 10 (faztokens are my way of rating things)
10-If (8.5 faztokens)
9-The Fall Guy (9 faztokens)
8-Inside out 2 (9 faztokens)
7-Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes (9 faztokens)
6-Dune Part 2 (9.5 faztokens)
5-Gladiator 2 (9.5 faztokens)
4-Deadpool And Wolverine (9.5 faztokens)
3-Transformers One (10 faztokens)
2-Sonic 3 (10 faztokens)
1-The Wild Robot (11 faztokens)
How does a faz-token compare to the metric system 🤔
@ it’s basically the same thing 1 faztoken = 1/10 and 10 faztokens = 10/10 (11 faztokens means an 11/10, which means i think the movie is a masterpiece, although I don’t really give an 11/10 often)
The Wild Robot was my absolute favorite film of 2024 as well.
The Fall Guy wasnt that great. I do love that TF one is in your list tho

I was very mixed on Deadpool and Wolverine but i didn't hate it but i didn't love it either
Here’s my favourite movies of 2024 (not in any particular order)…
Deadpool and Wolverine
The Wild Robot
Dune Part 2
Inside Out 2
Twisters
Challengers
Transformers One
Wicked
The Boy and the Heron (this movie released in cinemas in my town, something I had never seen before so of course I went to it. And I was so happy when it won the Oscar, I literally screamed YES so loudly, I woke up my whole family).
The Holdovers
Poor Things
Also saw a bunch of rereleases this year such as…
Stepbrothers
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man
Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope
Spider-Man Homecoming
Interstellar
Shaun of the Dead
Hocus Pocus
The Polar Express
Die Hard
So in terms of movies I think I did pretty well.
Honestly? "Transformers One". ^^' As a fan since I have memory, this movie was an absolute gift!! Yes, there were better movies I watched this yes but this one will forever be in my heart. :')
It's a good one
I don’t watch as many new releases as Sean in a year. But, in 2024, I watched the most I have in quite a while.
So, here are my top five:

@ If you’ve watched the show Seinfeld that gives you an idea about the type of humor that’s in Unfrosted. Honestly I thought Madame Web was campy fun

@@cooperwolfe5478Dude I remember that Cat in the Hat movie! When i was younger, it felt like the biggest thing to see this like- childlike character curse and be crass. What a terrible, fun movie.

I really dug it. I am not a fan of the original 2000 film. I thought the sequel improved on the original in almost every way.
The Wild Robot is easily the best imo
Sonic 3 is my #1 movie of the year-not because it the best, but because it was my favorite. I’m not gonna try to argue that it’s got a better script than Dune, Furiosa, Inside Out 2, Wild Robot, etc. because it obviously doesn’t. But it’s the movie that brought me the most joy out of anything I watched this year, and sometimes, that’s enough.
