    Nice! I like how portable, actually - easy to store, simple to setup it is. Looks like this setup really makes sense.
    Thanks Roger!

      Thanks for the comment!! I need the simplicity with my non-permanent and small space for the videos 😊👍🏻

    Have you considered using the fl60 instead? Especially Since you’re just using the fl100 at 20%.

    • @RogerinFinland
      @RogerinFinland  Рік тому +1

      I did, but here in Finland the FL100 is actually cheaper than the FL60 and I appreciate the bigger surface area, despite using just part of the output.

    Very Informative! Does the Godox go up in 10% increments? Or can you go from 1%, 2% etc?

      Thanks! Increments of 1%, which is nice 👍🏼😌

      @@RogerinFinland out of interest, how come you had to use ND filters? At 1.4 on camera and at 1% on the light was that still over exposed?

    • @RogerinFinland
      @RogerinFinland  6 місяців тому

      This was quite long time ago, so I'm trying to remember the reason :D
      Likely with the light at 1% and lens at 1.4 I'm sure I wouldn't have needed an ND, BUT the image would not have looked as I wanted. With the light at 1%, the ration between key and ambient light is very different than with the light at 30%. In the second case there's a lot more contrast and the ambient light affects very little.
      Basically: I use the light output to define the look and then use whatever needed to expose properly, rather than adjust the light output to manage the exposure.
      Does this make sense?

      @@RogerinFinland yes it does. I’m just trying to decide what to upgrade first. Any opinion would help. I have a Sony zv-e10 and the kit lens and a cheap Amazon soft box light. I normal shoot at 16mm in my room. What would you upgrade first the lens or lighting?
      Problems - The lights have to go up high as I’m in low light for studio talking head to expose correctly. Loads of spill in background.
      Lens with 1.4 or 1.8f would help bring down the light intensity. However, would a good Light source with box grid make the kit lens look much better?
      I guess I’ll need to upgrade both but which would make the most difference? Thanks

    • @RogerinFinland
      @RogerinFinland  6 місяців тому

      @@RiffsRhythm my answer (unfortunately) is that it depends. If you prioritize having a shallow depth of field and a sharp image, then lens first (if 16mm is the focal length you like, I'd consider a sigma Sigma 16mm 1.4 ). If you're OK with the sharpness and depth of field with your kit lens, but you want more control over the light, a better more powerful bigger source will likely be helpful.
      Not sure if this helped either
      😅

    Great look for the price and size! At which color temperature are you using it for your videos?

    • @RogerinFinland
      @RogerinFinland  3 роки тому

      At the coolest, 5600k (closest to daylight). Most cameras I have seem to read it somewhere around 5100k though.

    A comparison of the footage of this vs the 60W coblight with softbox would be super cool to see. The versatility of this led panel make it seem attractive at a reasonable pricepoint. And the quietness of the led might be the deciding factor for me. How intrusive to you find the 60w cob to be regarding its fansound? I would atm prefer to spend just 200€ on the 60w cob including softbox and stand as compared to upwards of 400€ for the led panel with stand and softbox. Tomaeto Tomahto, I dont know. The 4060 softbox on this make it seem getting there regsrding lighting results but a direct comparison would be enlightening, haha.

      Unfortunately I no longer have the Godox SL60 to compare, which also tells you directly which is my preference. Reasons for me to use the FL100 over the SL60:
      - Form factor (MUCH less deep)
      - Fan noise
      - Easier to set up
      What do I miss from the SL60? Well, I used two of them to make a silly noir short film and they were perfect for that purpose giving those dramatic shadows, but for my UA-cam videos the FL100 is definitely the winner.

    Doncs està molt bé aquest conjunt, amb difusor i niu d’abella.
    Si el muntes en dos minuts, i el preu és correcte, ja m’ho penso que estàs prou content!
    El resultat és realment bò, tot i a baixa potència.
    Magnífica rewiew!
    Abraçada!

      It probably depends where you are located. I bought it from fotonordic.fi in Finland, but I don't know if that's suitable for you z or where do they ship to.
