This mod dev is the same one who made Cyberpunk 2077 Exotics(furries from the tabletop) it's even using the same feline models, it's extremely high quality and I'd reccomend that to anyone who thought the game failed to replicate exotics from the tabletop.

Or just any level of customization. The only one that exists (that I am aware of at least) just grabs the base game model for one of the kobolds and allows for no clothing/coloring changes.
I like that they took the realistic side and not the "elf with furr pattern" style for this mod, I'll give it a try

Ah yes, the race everyone is playing for one of two reasons...
One is that they have a climb speed, which allows players to break combat encounters in almost exactly the same way that they could if they instead had a fly speed, but DMs are inexplicably fine with it.
And the other is because they are basically furries.
You can apply rules and logical limits to climbing more easily than flying. Simple as.
Besides, if that's all you want to do, the Dhampir is just better, since you explicitly can climb while keeping your hands free.
Climbing is a _fair bit_ more limited than flying. Although the additional freedom of movement is indeed huge.
Personally I just do it for feline agility because being absurdly fast is fun.
..Isn't selling mods for money reaching into copyright territory though? I've heard of mods for other games get in trouble for that reason since you're using someone else's IP to promote your product & making money off of it.
They aren’t selling it as such, they have a patreon where they share their progress on the mod whilst it’s still in development, once it’s complete it’s released for free on nexus. But yeh, it’s a valid point!

As far as im aware selling mods is illegal. You can ask for donations but you cant demand payment for mods unless the company allows you too. Youre using their tools and game to make your content…
I recommend the “Astralities’ Tiefling Compendium” race mod.
Like “Fizbar’s Treasury of Dragons - Dragonborn”, this one adds new subraces to the already existing Tiefling race.

Personally, out of all the subclasses that Astralities' adds, I think that the Winged Tiefling is probably the best!
Not getting to wear heavy armor is a small sacrifice for unlimited flight at level 1.
That's a good recc. I love how Astralitie's mod gives Teiflings and extra unarmed claw attack. It really makes them stand out and opens up playstyle possibilities.

There’s no monthly subscription involved. The mod is just hosted on Patreon so need to sign up once to download it

Just made my very first Leonin DnD character yesterday as well. I'd love that.
Been using this one for a couple months now so im super happy to see it getting some recognition, instantly made bg3 so much more fun as someone who has been making cats in games ever since skyrim. This isnt really exclusive to the mod but i love how the highlights and graying hair options can be used to match the fur patterns, really brings it all together.

I'm not against mods at all. But you had me excited that Tabaxi was an Official race added to the game. You know, like if you said you could eat a specific food at a restaurant then I find out you just meant you brought it with you and ate it there, I couldn't actually order it.

I will say the mod looks great but I do wish they eventually add the option of making them have a small race type as seen in the traditional Dnd Tabaxi: FYI Tabaxi can be both small and medium in dnd 5e.

Aztec cats are nice and all, but I'm still waiting for playable Gnolls and the restoration of the werewolf wildshape druids SHOULD have had from the start as they did in the first two BG games. Hopefully someone's doing either or both of those.
Apart from Minotaur or Satyr Im not a fan of the digitagrade legs. Seems like they switch to regular humanoid legs when equip with footwear so that works.

I've been playing it and the only flaws I can find is the game thinks you are human (Not something that can easily be fixed as their are people who just say "A Human?!" so yeah), The base of the tail is a little jank, and the charachter creator is rather limited and beards are a bit jank. Oh and the game is only temporarlily pay to use as it will be uploaded to Nexus when its finsihed.

Are there facial expressions, or is the face static when normally your character would smile, frown, etc.?
Also what race is used for reactions in game? Sometimes your race gets you a unique dialogue option, or NPCs will respond to your race.
There are facial expressions yes. The reactions are for the beast type in dialogue, if I remember correctly.

Yeh I’d been waiting on it to be updated for patch 7 but it’s definitely on my list to do a video on. It’s a really cool class with loads of subclasses too. Will get a video done soon 😁

As someone who has been waiting for a tabaxi/catfolk race to do my BG3 playthrough with... I'm extremely disappointed in this mod. I'm sure theres been some effort made on it, but the facial design is..... uncanny valley to the utmost extreme. I'd say wait to throw your money (or just dont, paid mods are literally fucking satan) until they make some drastic changes to its facial structure.. idk, maybe im picky, but they're eyes are soooooo close together.... and no digitrade paws?!(I know the digitrade takes some serious time, just a personal nitpick)

They need to add story changes or attributes to these new races. When you chose a character in BG3 your race affects the story so when they create these new races i wish they would add unique story lines or dialogue choices as well. Hopefully when the mod kit is released this will happen

I thought those who made mods received Recognition and Donations. You don’t own the game and should always be working at the Game Devdeloper’s goodwill.
By demanding payment you encourage other modders to harass game developers. A few bucks isn’t much, but you give a dog a bone it may take your fingers.

Yeh I’ve used the Fantastical Multiverse race mod which has a few Genasi types, it’s pretty well done!

They arent anywhere near the same looking, and these models have existed fo rawhile as the devloper used them in thier Cp2077 mod.

paywalling mods is fine when they are a significant undertaking, don't have free readily available comparable mods (in this case, every other race mod), or can't be "easily" replicated (tweaking the game's engine in ways that significantly alter how it works, and things like adding RTX to very old games for example) but paywalling a race mod? yeah I'll pass and wait until someone releases a tabaxi mod for free, it's not like it's gonna change a whole lot anyway the design of the tabaxi and their abilities were drawn/written ages ago

So "finally playable," but not publicly available and still being worked on. I find that definition questionable.
But it is playable though, I’ve just shown you it being played and provided a link to how you can play it yourself.
God forbid someone get paid 4 bucks to continue working on a mod they'll release for free once it's complete.
I'd agree, but I've seen too many things (usually adult games, but I've also seen SFW stuff too) that never actually get "finished" because they won't get that "easy money" anymore. Especially considering this isn't using original content, they're modifying content from two separate IPs, which makes it feel worse. If nothing else, with the dono or pay-what-you-want (though obliquely phrased behind a donation to avoid aforementioned legality issues) model I can make sure that it installs correctly and/or works with any other mods I want to use. As it stands now, I have to pay that money to even test that, and if it conflicts with other mods, particularly ones on the "must have" list? That's money out the window. To stem off the "but it's only a couple bucks" statement, it's not about the amount but the principle. Yeah, it's only a couple bucks now, but when there's an update in a month and a half because BG3 got an update that breaks mods or, more likely since this Tabaxi mod is in beta, the mod updates for bugfixes or feature updates? That's another four down the drain. Do that over 6 months and it's getting to official paid DLC prices, not to mention if I decide to just be lazy and keep the patreon going for that 6 months, then I'm getting to full indie game prices. At that point I'd rather just give a "donation" of $10 then be granted access to the mega or google drive or whatever instead of it feeling like my first point.

Most requested? Far from it. Aasimar and variant humans alone are way more popular, tabaxi is for furries and monk min maxers.

I really hope Baldur's Gate 3 were to add gender-locked races to the playable roster; it'd make races more diverse in terms of gender roles (my favorite example being the Mithra from Final Fantasy 11).
There aren't any gender locked species in dnd lore iirc, but warforged are genderless and hags can only be women, but they can have hagspawn sons. Is there a specific race you're thinking of?
