I agree with Marcel and KG on the Luke Shaw issue.
Shaw can be a backup LCB. I believe his body can't take the rigours of a modern day full back. Being a backup LCB means he wont have to play games too regular and could be available when needed.
Then whatever money we're using to pursue Branthwaite can be used to purchase a left back (Antonee Robinson, Kerkez, etc)
Can use him also as backup centre back
Why not just sell him and get some young cb? Whats with the obsession with shaw and trying to fit him any place possible, he isnt event a good lb, has been nearly a decade
@sanjaydhirwan791 contrary to popular belief, it's not easy to sell players who are on the decline. Ideally Shaw and Malacia should be sold and two new LBs brought it but that's unlikely.
So transfers must be done in phases.
Moving Shaw to LCB and buying a first team LB will be phase 1.
Phase 2 is letting him go and buying a new LCB.
