Spanish Pyrenees - Solo Carros de Foc loop 4k

Carros de Foc loop in northern Spain in August of 2022. I flew into Barcelona and drove 3.5 hours to Espot, where you can leave your car. I booked 5 huts over 6 days. It's about a 40 mile loop and I had to skip one section due to storms (Colomers to Estany de Long). Booking the huts online was easy and the Refugi staff were very nice. Breakfast and dinner were included, as well as blankets at the huts, so no quilt or sleeping bag needed. Met a lot of great people! I hope you enjoy the sights and sounds of the Spanish Pyrenees.

We are planning a trip to do the carros the foc trail but are wondering if the refugios alone are enough to rely on for food? Can you buy food there for breakfast the day after etc

Thank you!! I appreciate it. The refugios have you covered with dinner and breakfast if you reserve in advance. I brought my lunch and snacks for each day. I can't remember if you could buy food or snacks from the huts. I did buy some beer each night and they had other drinks. I would email the rangers on the carrosdefoc.com site. They were quick to respond with any questions I had. It's one of the best hikes! Enjoy!!

Thank you Michael! I had a rental car, so I’m not completely sure. I know there are buses from town to town around the park, as I took one back to my car in Espot.
