Not only is North Idaho beautiful, you get a sence of true freedom. The government here is for and by the people. Open carry gun laws (you can carry almost anywhere), no helmet laws for motorcycle riders, use your cell phone in the car (no texting while driving though). Low taxes and a state with a budget surplus. Clean fresh air and water. Low crime rate. Wonderful people. One law you must obey here is you must have a smile on your face when walking the streets. Idaho is America back in the 1950's. Carefree, happy and fair to it's people. God's country for sure.
I been to flyfish as kid. near 60,yrs ago n in the 70"s...it calls my name...I come to be quite n give back to nature...hope I find nice lil.place to rent then look at lil.land to farm a lil n die there I'm getting old...haha..love your state..I'm Not from Calif...keep em out..
I have spent a considerable amount of time in Idaho, and much of the state is simply beautiful. Most of my time was spent in the mountains camping. As I am now too old to travel the rougher terrain it has been nearly 14 years since I last visited the state. I really miss my visits and would love to make one more visit.
It's true that N. Idaho is gorgeous. Having visited 48 states and 8 countries, my dream has been to live here in N. Idaho & now I do! You need NOT hike many miles or travel rough back roads to enjoy the scenic area, though. The stunning beauty is evident from the main roads - 95 south over the Spokane river, 90 east along the lake, and traveling main roads down through Harrison, through the Chain Lakes, St. Maries, etc. The beauty is not hidden - just come her & you will see it!
Fletcher The Pup If I go out my front door and cross the road, keep going north through the wilderness about 90 miles I will end up in Canada. If instead I take a right and head east through the wilderness, I will end up in Montana. Stunningly gorgeous!! Being the animal lover that I am, for me there isn't any other place that I would choose to live.
Fell in love with the western USA many years ago on a whitewater rafting trip. We rafted the middle fork of the salmon river near Stanley Idaho. Absolutely amazing scenery. Since that trip I’ve been out west many times and still love Idaho, Montana, Colorado, and Utah. So much prettier than Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (my hometown). I think about moving out west but that’s a very difficult step to take.
Born in California (not entirely proud) and moved to Idaho when I was 4 years old and been here for 11 years and never realized how beautiful it was because it's what I grew up around. Not until I visited other states lol.
when I die my spirit will forevermore fly free in Idaho's beautiful Mountains. ... This is where my heart belongs, where the story of my life begins....
Seth Dechand I know right? The government need to stop building crap where the beautiful wilderness is, or Idaho isn't going to be a frontier any more. Anyone want to make a petition?
I was born and raised in a little town in idaho called Weiser. Its a small town, everyone knows everyone there all willing to lend a hand when ever is needed. I guess you could say thats how idaho is. They all are willing to help eachother.. If i had the choice i would move back right now. The mountains are where i belong
The rough back roads of north Idaho or non existent roads in a lot of places I know I've been to quite a few places in the panhandle I lived in coeurd'alene for years all of Idaho is pretty cool but north Idaho is unique compared to the rest of the state
god I tie fly's n fly fish I have a hard-on...fished it in 70, was amazing n no one back then...born to late...it calls me.. caregiving lastly parent in horrible rude East coast I'm coming home once moms past brother got killed last year do me n dog will be starting new life journey...bless all care givers....
Please answer me. Where should I live in Idaho. I’m a young strong 60 yr. old retried. I can afford a decent house\land 300k max and have monthly income. Generally speaking I want to be alone, no people, noise, pollution, technology in general. I like winters and rain and wide open spaces away from any town. I like meadow but mountains are ok too. I love agriculture and farms, outdoors, Northern Idaho seems like the best place other than Montana or Wyoming my 2 other choices.
We're America's best kept secret. But we'd really prefer to keep it that way... It's that fact that makes the state what it is. Once people start using our wilderness, there will be more camp sites, and therefore more irresponsible recreation.
I used to live in Idaho but my life got ruined and I had to move to Utah. Don't EVER move away from Idaho once you have lived there you never want to leave. Once I grow up I will move back to Idaho and raise my kids there. I HATE UTAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lived there many years, and many years ago. This does not do it justice. Some of the worst photography I have seen. Someone should take their cameras away and give them manure shovels.

Amazing area this would be a nice place to move to.
Why do you need to carry a gun? It must be a very dangerous place. Lots of bad guys I guess.
@@williambissell794 Every one owns a gun = zero crime. they would get shot. takes at least an hour for the sherrif to arrive.
they have some of the best highways i have driven on, too!

I agree Brenda Booth
Thank you so much for sharing this video!! Nothing speaks peace & serenity like the "North Idaho Wilderness"!
It's funny to me how people travel the world and never see all the beauty in our own country like this.
Grizzly Country my exact thoughts on my first visit to Idaho. I didn't know beautiful, wild and free until my son took me to the Sawtooth Mountains.
or even in their own state! Like my childhood travel the hwys through awesome wildernesses but never stepping out to go in & experience them lol!
My brother is always talking about visiting the alps when he has the alps here in Idaho
Beautiful Idaho Country!! Love to visit there. Thanks for sharing.

Amazing shots of that magnificent scenery, indeed.
So beautiful. I want to leave Colorado for Idaho.
Absolutely Beautiful
Lived in N. Idaho 10 years. Spirit Lake, Oldtown, Sandpoint, Bayview, CDA. Miss hiking up in that region with my Pup Molly. Good Year's. 2008-2018

Beautiful Idaho! Love to vacation there.
I rafted on the Moyie river in the spring. Not for the feint of heart.

Fletcher The Pup north idaho is amazing. nuff said
Rae Smith
But I hope you love the long winters right? hahaha
The snow never bugged me. Well, until it melts, and then freezes like it's doing now. Cataldo mission and Look out pass are really flooding.
this music made me think there was a mosquito by my ear like 5 times
brdsmith89 😂
Hahahaha god damnit now that’s all I hear
That's crazy I had no idea that there was a literal line in-between Canada and the u.s.
Technically, it's not a wilderness if there are roads in it. Check out Frank Church Wilderness, or the Sawtooths Wilderness
Nice video. Whats up with the poorly photoshopped waterfall rock face at 7:40 minutes?

Just remember to pack a Good Caliper Weapon on those remote Trails!

Lovely. New subscribers. 💥💥💥. #Roamingwithrover
Whats wrong with Utah? I was thinking about moving there. Its either, Idaho, Washington, or Utah.
Enjoyed watching this. Don't know what he said though. I couldn't take the music.
Super schöner Staat!
Looks like Sweden. :)
How long does winter last in northern Idaho?
It depends on what you call Winter. We usually have snow on the ground from about Thanksgiving till the end of February.
9 months
@@CreedenceFanForever NOT!!

great
yet some go for off grid homestead here......

As for Real Estate prices...might as well rename the state, "New California"..
@Ray Bosanko "people"-wise or "real-estate cost"-wise? ;)) or I didn't know N. Alabama got cold weather
@Ray Bosanko aww c'mon :)) I know a few up there who are great folks. Heck, I'd move up there ...but my bank acct is a few Million short..
Great video, but I found the music annoying and distracting

I highly recommend Harrison, Idaho. Population 267
Yea, not well known. Lets keep it that way.

Skip the wierd music.
you just dont want me moving to idaho because you dont want it more crowded.
ambush9090 Unless you're from southern california, and want to change Idaho to be more like california, you're welcome anytime!
Lived there many years, and many years ago. This does not do it justice. Some of the worst photography I have seen. Someone should take their cameras away and give them manure shovels.
I stopped watching, that droning “music” gave me a migraine
IDAHO, STOP KILLING YOUR WOLVES!!!!!
