Man....Lenny White is absolutely mind blowing great on the drums What an incredible Innovator!! They picked up the tempo from the album version and ripped this song completely in half....the flurries at the end are outrageous!
@fallko76 I've know Jerry Brooks for about a decade now. I know his sound, his bass, and his looks. That is without a question Jerry Brooks on bass. He plays a six string 1990 Smith BT6G in a trans Red finish. 1 of about 4 smith's made back then with that finish. If you don't believe it is Jerry Brooks then type in "jerry brooks bass" on you tube. You will see him playing the exact same bass on many videos. The credits that rolled at the end were mistakenly inputted as Mitt Segs.
it sounds like his snare drum is so tight that its choked, and he is playing it like a timbale which is so cool, but lenny always had a very tightly tuned snare drum. he used to use hinger snares made out of cat gut.now thinking about that concept i might look into some cat gut on one of my gretsch snare drums. His toms! always big +wide open with that "wet sound" he used to get with clear ambassadors and his gretsch kits.He is so under rated,HE DESERVES MORE RECOGNITION!!!!!!
..incredible playing and vibes from the whole group, Jerry Brooks on full burn 🔥!!..he and Lenny sound so good together!..jazz lives..New York September 2, 2021..
Who is the keyboardist? I met him in DC and he wrote down the chords to "Bustin Loose" by Chuck Brown for me. Phenomenal playing here by everyone. Lenny's my favorite drummer!
@timminananda the drums on live performance recording always need to be mastered. they sound good live but when u listen to a recording the difference between that n a studio session is always quite large. i guess u cant expect ppl to bother mixing down all their live performances tho
Oh my goodness Lenny.... the snare sound, the toms, the groove , the creativity. Real finesse!
WOW!!!!!that is badass!!!!wow!!!what just happened??
That snare sound....yummy!

Wow. I've never seen Mr. White so aggressive with his playing. Also, Jerry Brooks on bass is a straight out monster.
Me too, he's normally more laid back with his solos. He was putting a hurting his drums from start to finish. He's more of a cymbals guy over skins
@@haroldbrooks4235 I DISAGREE MORE ROLLS THAN CYMBALS FOR LENNY MAN..... CHECK ALSO RTF ALBUMS....TOM TOM CITY MAN.....CYMBALS ACT AS A COMMA FOR HIM!
He was having RTF flashbacks ❤❤❤
@@waynefoote3781I’m talking about his current solos. He’s even said he likes to keep his rhythm that way
What a combination of monster players!!! This is awesome!
unbelievable playing here.....lenny in top form....luv that snare drum tuning!!!!!!
His snare sounds like timbales!
I LOVE Lenny's playing.I could watch and listen to him all day.
@2277god
No, it is JERRY BROOKS playing bass....I was on stage with him.
They smashed it.💯👍👍
Out of the Gate , on point , in the Pocket , take no prisoners , and Focused like a Laser .
Killer bass! My JBL Charge2 loves it!
That snare sounds so incredible! It's probably because it's being played on by a master :)
Lenny White is the man!
Powerful Accents on the Snare!!
Very creative drumming style, unique to Lenny White.
Jerry Brooks:pure poison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow! blown away
Almost sounds like the guitar is in a can. Cool!! This is just so incredible and energized.
Mind blowing great
Simone and Luc I totally agree, this is musical art in its purest form..why is it some people just don't get it!
People seem to get What. they want. I just got what I wanted by listening and watching
Totally HIGH ENERGY!!!🖤
Lenny White striking his drums in the solo the way a timbale player strikes the tambales in a solo.
Well Damn Lenny😮😮😮😮
holy shit
Super cool!
Sorry, obviously the end credits are wrong, it IS Jerry Brooks on bass guitar, as he's being introduced right at the beginning of full video.
ジュリーブルックス🎸&レニーホワイト🥁
😳😱☝🏻
Crazy how that Smith “ping” cuts through even the lowest quality audio.
Immense!
Faster faster!!!!!
