So fun to see Joliet on one of your driving videos. My high school is on the right (Joliet Catholic High School) at the :40 mark. Well only my first two years and then we merged with the girls school, St. Francis Academy, and moved to their campus further out on the west side. Just like retail stores (we also passed the old Sears in this video), car dealers, etc. moved further out from downtown.
7:01 The lobby of the Rialto Square Theater was based on one of the rooms at Versailles. Rumor has it when Liberace played there, he joked that he finally found a theater that matched his wardrobe.
