Mutya Buena is a whole other level. I've been saying it for over 20 years. She's doesn't get enough recognition as one of the UKs most incredible vocalists.

When they were younger they were pretty good but the years have made them so much better. The lyrics and the music was always incredibly mature and now they can really own them.

*Mutya and Keisha knew from middle school. Siobhan and Mutya met through record label they were signed to. Keisha was added later on through her connection to Mutya. The girls have become best friends only recently, back in the days Siobhan left the group after one album because Keisha pushed her out of the group for some teen drama. The manager for the girl group All Saints. He signed Siobhan and Mutya at 13 as solo artists. He got them to perform together in the studio. Mutya invited her best friend Keisha to come and watch. The manager, seen Keisha, realised she could sing and signed them as trio. They were originally called the 'SugaBabies' due to them being around 13/14 years old. Then changed it to 'Sugababes' for a more mature look.

As someone who enjoyed all the forms of Sugababes, I will always appreciate what they brought to the table at their individual moments and times in the group however just listening to these original three harmonising gives me such chills with the level of perfection with the blending of their voices together.

2. The BBC Concert Orchestra are unbelievable. They have had to arrange, learn, rehearse and let’s be honest, NAIL, 60 songs, AND gel with 20 artists to bring us this month of magic and achieve what is quite simply an eargasm every time. I’m looking forward to the next 3 weeks of this.

To be fair to the Spice Girls, they went beyond music and became a cultural phenomenon and pushed girl power into the public consciousness. Sure their musical talent (other than Mel C and Emma) is not as strong as sugababes, but their legacy in music history is still extremely significant.

Mutya will always be one of my favourite vocalists of all time. She is LEGENDARY in my humble opinion. Her vocal tone, her stylistic choices, her runs, her ad libs are to die for. I also freaking love Siobhan and love what she did with the bridge. Can’t wait for her next solo project. And Kesha, phenomenal as always, truly gifted.

Siobhan is needed now moreso because nowadays to sing extremely well is vital as so many people can be heard and seen on platforms. You need to own and show your gift well to be respected as a singer. Not only that, she's authentic and original.

It was a different era - an era of pretty, white blonde girls, she was that, and served her purpose within the Sugababes for A FULL DECADE. She had her time. These three never really did, except for that one brief moment in the early 2000s. Plus, girl groups, esp one that can sing and harmonize like nobody’s business, are essentially extinct in Western pop music... That’s what makes their resurgence at this point in time so special and also necessary.

Mutya came second to Beyonce in a UK poll a few years ago for her voice ,shes sang with greats George Michael and amy winehouse..her rendition of mirrors on master link sessions is out of this world as is her cover of damage by HER..She is where she should be with the other two girls( sugababes) heaven sent voices meant to sing together....I followed them from begining but mutya won my heart 19 years ago,she is special, unique,don't confirm to to rules she is her whole beautiful self,sugababes were dead when she left..But the most heaven cent thing is they are together again and it's the best,exciting , beautiful..I wish with all my heart they get back to top where they belong..They have proved themselves all these years later that their voices are pure joy to listen to,the world sugababes are back..love you girlsxx
Overload was one of my favourite songs at the time, so to see the original members perform like this in 2023 is a real treat. As for Mutya, her voice is absolutely golden. Could quite happily listen to her all day.
