It was pretty hot when it came out in the 90s.
The "album" was a hit back in the early 90s in the US. Not sure how it charted, but it was really hot for awhile. Enigma lost popularity when their subsequent albums were no longer unique. :-(
I love the beginning little sounds. Wish it was longer or a full song of it. So amazing. Enigma = respect!
Actually this is an intro for the album. The "continuation" of this song is the next one called "Principles of Lust: Sadeness/Find Love/Sadeness (Reprise)"

In a way, this album along with is one very long song. With the exception of the singles and The Platinum Collection, every track on each album segues into the next track
I remember this CD from my childhood. my Mum used to play it to help me sleep at night. She died last week and I was finally able to wholeheartedly cry, to the song Return to Innocence (dif CD ) but it reminded me of that childhood memory.

Me? Rollerblading through the polished cement concourse of the Metrodome in Minneapolis with this music blaring from the arena loudspeakers in 1990. The event was called "Roll at the Dome," it was free and we could rollerblade our hearts out once a week to great music with no interference except for the occasional protrusion of a giant arena wastebasket every 100 feet. Imagine how this music sounds amped up like that. The synthesizer keyboard combined with the Gregorian chants and drum machine was new for the time. It was unique and it was magical.
