Hi! As I have seen no reply, I will attempt to answer your question. I am right now knitting a cardigan with this type of yarn which I ordered from Iceland and its Plotulopi. It requires a gentle type of knitting much easier on the hands. You don't tension the yarn and as you lightly have it flow thru your hand, no tensioning with finger wrapping is advised. I am having no breaks and can assure you any pattern that you wish to crochet will work with this yarn. If you are concerned about breakage...use double strands or practice. Crocheting a swatch will really help. I would have no qualms about using it for any crocheted or knitted project. I have also spun my own yarn beginning with raw fleece of an Icelandic sheep! My yarn I made was thick and single plied with my antique wheel.
