Hi, I am very disappointed on the way the commentators comment on the match. It is always clear that they cheer some of the selected schools being biased by the name of the school. I agree that every commentator has their own winning team but here it is very clearly shown through their comments. They do not admire the talent but just try to keep their own wishing team up. Commentators should be unbiased, and they should be able to admire the talents of both sides, rather than being cheerleaders to one selected side.thepapare.com=therichschoolcheerleaders.com
You are absolutely correct. This has been for the generations to generations in Sri Lanka and all those so called Katholic/Christian schools of the dark era of the colonial times still haunting in our country! I know it personally in the end of the 60's to 70's how they did against the Isipathanas mighty power of the rugby to break from its roots! We had to start from the "Ground-ZERO" to start to build the Isipathana rugby in the year of 1973! no knows about our hard work those days! cheers, pal!
Nilanga Perera so how come ull win the league now itself? After losing? Ull will have to win against St.Joseph's and Royal while St.Peter's should lose thier 2nd Round fixtures. So do u think that's possible to do so? However apart from the league I'm fortunately sure that pathana will comeback strong enough in to the KnockOut tournament.
In this scenario, Isipathana played much more better "RUGBY" technically than the Peterites, although those heavily biased moronic commentators ignores it like deaf donkeys! Typical Lankan low level of faire-play mentality! Winning and loosing is not the prime essence in sports, but it is "How" it is being played, and here, Isipathana played well! Said that, this is an accidental win for Preterites, nothing else!!
loneranger cristo man are you kidding or smthn? Was this your first viewed match of the season? Arguably Peterites were the favourites to win this match..accidentally pathana just managed to restrict the deficit by 6 points as it was about to be a huge margin. Please admit the loss and wakeup for the upcomings just like pathana as they were.
No kidding man:-) That is what is to be seen clearly! Let us see the up coming matches and make a sound decision as how the teams perform not just the wins! Cheers. PS. Whether it is first or the whole season does not matter, it is how the teams played the particular game. did you played rugby for some years and have the understanding of the technical side of it? If that the case, you may say something to the tech side of it. Thanks.
loneranger cristo yes I've played for some time .... yes u r correct on that...but the thing is ,this is not rugby where it was used to be few years back, it has totally changed nowadays. Rugby is based on the influence of Coaches. Coaches do play the role 75%. But Peterites have shown their capability of winning a league competing against several opponents through out the first round proving that they are a team to beat! Round 2 is underway. On the other hand pathana is just struggling to maintain thier structure and thier playing style to get things done over. That's because of they are still gaining experience and not because of they are not a team to beat! They should keep playing matches in winning form to get things done. They will be a tough side to beat with the progress of the league.
A good analysis of the whole and I also heard that Pathana have a lot of new fresh players that makes them some time to get on to the hard running track! Cheers! PS.: Unfortunately, now a days spectator only thing the winning of a game, But, not the quality of the Game! A sad scenario, indeed!
