Hi! Thanks for making a video tutorial. For future videos could you not have background music, or make the music much quieter? I have difficulty with listening to your voice sometimes.
Personally I ve always found Maya difficult to get into. And you rarely get the results that you are looking for unless you are really an expert in the software. Meanwhile Blender seems to achieve more with less effort. Not saying which is better. Just that for beginners like me Blender seems to be more user friendly.
A really easy to follow tutorial. But I am having an issue with the stones being under the mesh and in the air. Ive tried everything to get them to stick to the mesh but nothing has worked. If MASH only works with straight, untampered meshes then I see no use in MASH. My surface is sand with only minimal sculpting, and I have frozen transforms and removed history on it and m y stones. So I dont know what I am doing wrong. :(
I just tried using the mash tool to create some feathers on my t-rex model, but the moment i change the distribution option to mesh my maya freezes and become unresponsive to the point i have to force a shutdown of my maya
Ì have the same problem. Once I start paint - it freezes and crashed. I tried use different values in MASH placer - it crashed all the time. Using Maya 2025. 64gb ram, rtx 3070, i7 12700
