I lived in fruitland, on Current Creek, fished current creek res., and worked at the current creek lodge. William Clegg was my relative and was a pony express rider. So much info I did not know.

I've been to the Red Ledges Mines several times and searched for the Woolsey Mine to the north. I think I've lined out the old Booby Duke Trail based on starting near Bobby Duke Ridge and through Bobby Duke Pass. It eventually goes through Coleman Basin, up onto Red Creek Mountain, and then down Vat Creek to the West Fork of the Duchesne River. The clues to the Woolsey Mine story put the mine near this trail, as described. Where Woolsey was camped was not where many have previously thought, and the mine is not at the Red Ledges. I've hiked to the area where I think the mine is located and you can see not only my proposed Bobby Duke Trail, but also the West Fork stream bottom, both of which are clues. The mine location is along a trail to about 1/4 mile northeast of where many sheepherders have camped over the years, which are also clues. And southeast of which there is a place where they used to wash the sheep, near a water source. It's a little bit difficult to search the location effectively, especially if you're 80 years old.

@@launareese9196 I thought everyone from tap was gone, in the long sleep. I figured out the Bobby duke. I can’t divulge much , but; I found one of the mines. Ghosted knowledge.

the Mine was covered back in the 60’s that might be why it has not been found,

@@rwlmedia7340 That's probably true. All the clues fit, but no evidence of the mine.
I don't think that Enoch Rhoades would have had to cross either the Strawberry River or Duchesne River if he was coming down out of Currant Creek from the mine and if he was killed before reaching where Red Creek flowed into Strawberry River.
Also, I thought that the Indian mineral rights land was the same area where the Red Ledges are located.

@@launareese9196I have never heard of Enoch going to Current Creek or Woolsey mine. It was up Rock Creek.

Enoch had pestered Caleb to allow him to get some gold because he was about to get married and wanted to get a good start. Caleb relented and told him where to go. The Indians didn't know he was a younger half-brother to Caleb. They tracked him down camping near where you said in Duschene. They put an arrow in him and took the gold back. There's one report that Enoch wasn't quite dead and crawled into a cave in the bluff there where later some guy found decomposed remains and a letter Enoch wrote right before dying. Caleb got word from his Indian buddy, probably Happy Jack about the incident. Caleb regretted it deeply because he knew that had he not conceded to Enoch, he wouldn't have died.

Hello Randy. According to a Reinaldo map, there is a gold mine between Currant Creek and Right Fork Grass Hollow. It's facing the south fork of a ravine which starts close to the head of RFGH and joins the Currant Creek.

I have studied Spanish signs and symbols for over 50 years .each symbol has a meaning, size shape ,direction , and most include horizons, accent rocks or symbols, that may include pointer rocks, eye catchers these symbols and signs were and are common and well known among the ancient cultures.
