I love your videos. I feel sorry for all these kids in the internet age. So many libraries have done away with books. Internet research does not allow you to chase reliable research down the rabbit holes they have traveled... The first book I ever read was the dictionary. As a young child, it frustrated me to have to chase meanings through many definitions, but it was good training for my college days.
You bring back pleasant memories. I've loved dictionaries too. Our family had a pretty good one, and I spent many happy childhood hours exploring words. For he last couple decades I've have a giant 2.662 page Webster's Third New International Dictionary. I don't browse like I used to, but it never fails me when I need to consult it.
There was a study some years ago that proved that people that read things off a physical page retained more of it than if it was read off a screen. I think frequent internet access affects one's memory. I also think Google's control of information is sinister and needs to be properly addressed.
Thank you so much, what a great advice and important think to put to use. A true superpower we can repurpose in all disciplines of life. This is amazing, I appreciate your content, keep it coming 🙏🏻♥️😑🤝
I really appreciate your content. I think you would likely improve your performance on UA-cam if you just got a better mic or sorted out your audio. Just saying. Thanks for the input and helping us aspiring writers.
I appreciate your feedback, Julia. Thank you. I have to say I just listened to this video with my studio-quality earphones and found nothing egregious. Maybe I was a little more gravelly-voiced in this one, but it was within my natural range. Technically, the signal level looks good on the VU meter. I have a sound-treated room and use a high-quality mic and care about sound quality. No, I'm not a perfectionist by intention, but do my best to produce quality videos. Audio is a big part of that. Even though you are the first to mention sound issues in any of my 929,465 total video views so far, I'll stay alert to potential problems. Thank you.
Excuse me, Sir, Unfortunately, I am curious about "Words that rhyme with Nantucket." I think you threw a word into the arena without adequate explanation just to poke our CURIOSITY.
I will assume you're joking. That's okay. But for those interested in the literary lineage of this phrase, please see the WIkipedia entry. It has a long lewd tradition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There_once_was_a_man_from_Nantucket

I was a reporter with full of dreams and curiosity that almost killed the cat like me and now I am a writer with curiousity and dreams.
