New Jersey Kayak Fishing Session

In this short video me and Gabe went out to fish a small river in NJ that's known for Snakehead fishing. We got skunked by the snakehead but managed to catch a nice little bass. Hopefully we will get a second shot at the snakehead before we head back to KY.
Using my TFO Axiom II-X 6wt fly rod.

Hows the 2x compared to the blitz

@@gregjr63 my personal opinion the blitz is a better rod for throwing the heavier sink tip lines, it has the action further down in the blank and has a softer more forgiving cast than the 2x. That being said the 2x is still my favorite TFO rod. Very fast action that I prefer for lighter lines than the blitz.

@flyinggillsoutdoors8058 so what would you choose for mostly bass and carp fishing and the occasional saltwater fishing. I'm mostly throwing big poppers. Also price wise the axiom 2x is on sale by me for 299. Which is a steal

@@gregjr63 2x for sure. It’s always my go to, the blitz I use more for musky and deeper saltwater stuff for heavy sink tips
