Annie, thank you so so much for using my French Country Amour for your finishing tutorial. It turned out just beautifully! Hooray for you and I know your viewers are loving it! 👏😍💐
Hi Annie, I do all my own finishes but I love to see what other stitchers are doing. You did a beautiful job! Your tutorials are really easy to follow. You are absolutely right when it comes to learning to finish. Some turn out gorgeous and others not so much. Look forward to your next flosstube. Hope you have a nice week. Nancy
Thank you Annie for the gift of a very good instructive video. I am looking forward to making more projects now using your techniques. I also am looking forward to more tutorials from you! Your heart finish is beautiful.
You’re finish is so pretty! Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial. I have a piece I want to finish like this so this video was very helpful.

Thank you for a great tutorial. It turned out really beautiful, love the stitched piece. I’m going to give it a try. Hope you will show more tutorials.
Annie, Beautiful stitched piece and a beautiful finish. Your tutorial was excellent. Your instructions were perfect at every point! Right down to making the points on both the sticky boards perfect!!🤣🤣. Thank you ever so much for sharing and inspiring all of us who need to get their pieces fully finished, whether the are perfect or not!❤️🪡🧵❤️
Annie, that is a beautiful heart pattern. I enjoyed your tutorial, it turned out so beautiful. That was a good choice of fabric and trims. I would love to see more of your tutorials. Thank you
Great tutorial Annie! I have a huge stack of projects because I lack the confidence to finish my projects. So I appreciate your time in sharing how easy it can be.
Annie - Oh! Thank you muchly for the tutorial showing how to frame the French Country Heart. What a great teacher you are…hope you taught in school in the past. I, your student, just loved the directions for a finished project…my future includes framing your way! Marilyn Cook, a Kentucky stitcher.
What a fantastic tutorial. I love the background fabric and cross stitch design choices and, of course, the button! I also wanted to let you know that I did finish my first small pillow which I am going to gift to a special friend in the Netherlands for Valentine's Day. I will send a picture via your e-mail account. The hand sewing is not perfect but with more practice I will get there. Thanks for the push and inspiration.
Annie, thank you so much for showing us I think maybe I can do this I’m gonna give it a try gonna have to find me one of those button things though I’m sure hobby lobby has them thank you again have a great week
Annie, have you tried double sided Stitchery Tape? It’s readily available and I find it easier to work with than glue for most things. It holds very well. Ph balanced, can usually be repositioned. I’ve used it on flat folds and then decided I wanted a different finish and with a little effort taken pieces apart and redone them. I also have used glue but the tape is my preference where I can use it. Having a small bowl or cup of cold or iced water nearby is a good idea when using a glue gun. Can cool off fingers that get hot clue on them quickly so you don’t have sore fingers that make it uncomfortable to stitch. Thank You for your encouragement in getting our cross stitch pieces finished so we can enjoy them!
Thank you for the tutorial, Annie. I love the finished product! The floss, fabric, ribbon and trim make for a lovely piece, and it’s so feminine! I know it’s going to be beautiful wherever you put it. 💕
Great tutorial thank you. Your finish is amazing. May I suggest you invest in some silicone thimbles to avoid burning your fingers on the hot glue. You will find these on Amazon and they are really helpful. Xx
Thank you so much Annie for the wonderful tutorial. I went right over to JBW and ordered the chart and a couple more. I loved everything you showed including the button cover.
Very pretty….I love your tutorials….I’m trying to improve my finishing technique and every little tip helps! I try to have a small glass of cold water nearby so that I can dip any fingers that get covered with that hot glue! I’m also planning on getting some silicone finger thingies to avoid the pain!!😋
That was a wonderful tutorial! I have only finished a couple of things so seeing this makes me excited to do more. I love your piece and all of the finishing! Beautiful!
Enjoyed watching your tutorial. You did a great job! Thanks for taking the time to film and share. Amore is beautiful! I just purchased one of JBW Designs from Christine at Hollis Hands Create - Winter in the Round - it's stitched in a beautiful blue, your favorite! I hope to finish it on the wooden snowflake like Judy shows inside the pattern. Do you have that pattern? Hope you are doing well. Happy Stitching and quilting!
I find it easier to make sure my piece is going to be centered by measuring on the back of the piece and drawing lightly with a pencil the placement for the stitched piece. Even with interfacing I can still see the back of the stitching so I can measure it. You could also use a chalk marker and brush away the chalk after applying the piece to the sticky board. I prefer using a mechanical pencil.
Loved the tutorial. Thank you so much. I have a hard time making bows and you made it look so easy. I have to try making some buttons. Can I ask what kind of cutting board you have? It cut through the sticky board so easily. Thank you.
Thank you for watching. I will add this link to the show notes. I use a Swingline Paper Cutter amazon.com/Swingline-Trimmer-Guillotine-Capacity-ClassicCut/dp/B016LDV41S/ref=sr_1_3?crid=36DOASHPFF6VE&keywords=guitine+paper+cutter&qid=1642644494&sprefix=guatine+%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-3
Thanks for this tutorial. I do have to say though, I was cringing the whole time you were saying you were cutting 1 1/2”…you were only cutting 1”. Could you hear me saying ,”No, no, no!”

It is a swingline I purchased from Amazon.
Love this video! What brand and model guittine cutter did you use?
Thank you for watching. I will add this link to the show notes. I use a Swingline Paper Cutter

Thanks for this tutorial. I do have to say though, I was cringing the whole time you were saying you were cutting 1 1/2”…you were only cutting 1”. Could you hear me saying ,”No, no, no!”
LOl!!
NO NO NO You are NOT cutting 1 1/2 inches from your finished stitch edge!!!!!
LOL! You are correct-I made a mistake. It's hard to see the work surface with a camera and light hovering over
Great tutorial! Thank you so much.
