It’d be great to get an actual breakdown of different types of brand deals and how to negotiate them with the actual value of your videos and channel as a whole

since the following comment got a heart it may include some first thoughts for you.
Remember that the subject of brand monetization is rather complex and that there are whole agencies specializing in this area for one or the other reason (country, county, target audiences, upload frequency, ad length and complexity and all the other goodies regarding ads) .
It is nearly impossible to make an individual halfway decent guess and there are a whole bunch of other reasons why nearly nobody is talking about what they get.
You may find yourself halfway lucky and get a decent offer nontheless/ despite my words of caution. Take it and praise the lord!
But here you go, hope it helps:
      __________
So how much can you charge in the beginning?
30-40 per 1k views may be a good rule of thumb depending on your niche.
Do not "prostitute" yourself just b/c someone is finally willing to give you money and you are soooooo happy.
Do not sell yourself too short.
You may "cooperate" moneywise IF a more long termy deal is on the table.
Otherwise say it with me: Do not...
      __________
      Sidenote:
Now, if you need to ask what 30-40/1k in THIS context means you should not bother thinking about brand deals and educate yourself first on other subjects ;)

The videos that are needed out there about this are : how to narrow down on the kinds businesses that pay the highest in brand deals in each niche generally ..Then people can target who specific to contact to get the best pay for the brand deals as they could ultimately lead to the most money and possibly the most authority, then make videos that really help those sponsors specifically, help the people you are making a video for, and keywords to make UA-cam find it easy..

It shows you've done your homework and can increase your chances of securing a deal. Plus, always negotiate deliverables to ensure both parties are clear on expectations.

I learned a lot just by posting a few videos and researching to make my next video better.
you don't have to worry about anything at first if you don't know much.
just start uploading whatever is in your mind.
eventually, your speaking, editing, good titles, thumbnails and research for new videos will improve with each video.
Don't be afraid of mistakes in fact make mistakes.

The top 2 reasons I no longer watch Think Media videos anymore: 1) they’re too damn long now! I could watch a vidIQ video in a fraction of the time, and get actual useful knowledge. 2) they might be too hyper-specific, i.e. christian content, faceless, super beginner. There doesn’t seem like much for the more intermediate creator. Just some feedback, do with it what you will.

One piece of information that is hard to find for creators is "how much should I ask for" from a brand? Real numbers. I've done a few deals and I struggle with it. Am I leaving money on the table? Am I asking too much? How can I get them to make an offer first?

Usually anything under 100k Most brand deals start for “micro-influencers” at 20k subs but small brand deals can happen for even smaller channels… I got small deals ($100-200 for a mention) with a channel that was at 5k subs. Your number of views is the most important thing though. With that 5k sub channel at the time I was pulling in 1k-2k views per video on average
