Thanks Brent! Coming from The Bruce Lee of Stillwater Fly Fishing video Hall Of Fame Himself, That mean a lot ! Your My Sensei ! I almost made it up to Sheridan, but after realizing I hate people & have no friends, I headed into a more remote area as you see in part of the video.
Nice vid. I have a friend out on Lake Cowichan on the Island and he's just getting into fly fishing. (He's there for winters and here for summers). It's another life for sure from our small and largemouth angling here in NW Ontario on Lake of the Woods.
@@miked.r.6671 yessir they take a fly. My buddy fly fishes for them here and its a new experience from what we are used to with hook set etc. Its a bit over my head but he enjoys it. Smallmouth bass (pound for pound) are one of the hardest fighting fish. Fun stuff
Yeah dude! I will have to add your Pink Lightening to my arsenal. I fished it for about 1 hr, and lost 2 fish . I had one big fish go after my indicator & then took a swipe at the Pink Lightening! After that I went back to the Gomphus on my Type 3 Line. You never stop learning,
@@miked.r.6671 Holy, you make 120K plus car allowance each year. I am going to quit my job and join you. Can you put some good words when I apply there? hahaha
Thanks Steve. I was using the Go Pro flex Clamp attached to a pole of a salmon net a buddy of mine made. I throw my Simms bag on top for the weight, but I think a clamp to side of boat would be better option. If I can get the right angle, it would eliminate the pole in the clip. Much more work when you doing solo video , but happy with the end result.
@@miked.r.6671 Thanks Mike. It seems to work well and gives a great perspective. I appreciate the effort you put into your videos and the nice fish make it even easier to watch. 🤘
Been watching your channel for awhile. Who makes that wood stove in your camper ? Whats in that matcha 🍵 drink ? What were your water temps ? Im heading out float tubing in am, water temp here was 40.8 deg F 🥶, my feet will last about 4 hrs lol. Clear skys and cold low night temps will freeze any day. Hope to catch a big trout before it ends. 🤞
The wood stove is Dickinson Marine stove. It puts out lots heat! Ive been. in there in - 12 & toasty warm! Matcha Frappachino with oat milk is my thing! Nice energy boost & no crash like coffee. Lots health benefits also! Try one if you haven't already! The water temps were around 58 degrees ! Too warm! Crazy for mid October....Good weather for us....Not so much for the fishing! That was 3600 Ft elevation. Hope you get into some Hogs before freeze up ! Thanks for the comment .
