    Well Tom, As I shared with you right after your first video in your garage on the Warrior Tiller rigs: “You Will Not Go Back to Anything Else” (for me, since fall ‘96). Boat control, fish ability, ride, et. all; is the best there is. Glad you like it.

    Love the video as always! As a pretty avid fisherman myself I totally understand what you’re describing as how the new boat handles the heavy wave action BUUUT for the every day person with the every day budget 100k is a bit more expensive than the old tin can tillers that the majority of people can afford. But as always thanks for all the great content and tips for the walleye angling world!!

    Tom, you've been my go to guy to learn everything walleye. I've done very well in the great lakes area. I've moved to Lake Cumberland which has a very healthy population of walleye including a world record for many years. I just can't catch them here. Your at 100 ft depths 20 yards off shore and the fish don't appear to suspend. Locals catch them in 20 ft, right against the bank bouncing the bottom. A whole yeR of fishing has noted zero walleye , but many big striper. Points under water are 90 to 100 ft deep. Shouldn't the walleye migrate here just as up north? Why don't we see schools of fish suspended? Would love to here your take on this. Deep deep lake.

    On the boat Tom, how does the Big HP tiller troll, is the Glass boat heavy enough to slow you down so you can pull cranks with the big motor if you want to be around 2 mph. With my competitor 185, my 140 will only get down to about 2.5 unless there is a good wind.

    • @TomBoley
      @TomBoley  11 місяців тому

    Hi Tom, I picked up a handful of the Search Baits and love them with one exception. They're so smooth it's really tough to tell if the spinner is running right or not (you don't feel the same thumping vibration on the rod tip like you do other blade rigs. Running St. Croix Avid MLXF 6-8' or similar) and I'm finding when casting them more than half the casts the trailing hook wraps up around the bait body. So, my question is, what are you doing to prevent this when making those long search and destroy casts, or is this simply operator error? Thanks Tom, your content is truly great stuff for the guy that's obsessed but doesn't necessarily have the time to fish as much as he'd like! Tight lines and thanks for helping put extra fish in my boat!

    • @user-rn1xq5xp4k
      @user-rn1xq5xp4k 11 місяців тому +1

      I have the exact same issue. Can barely cast. Constantly gets wrapped up

    • @johnscott6745
      @johnscott6745 11 місяців тому

      @@user-rn1xq5xp4k I thought about adding a small piece of heat shrink tubing around the back half of the swivel ending just onto the hook shank, but that would entirely eliminate the possibility/action of using the slow death hook. Unless there's another solution, I think I'll try that because I don't have much confidence that they're consistently running true unless I drop them straight off the side of the boat while trolling.
      Another option would be to eliminate the swivel altogether, I guess.

    • @fox1resources
