I think that's how the game is designed. Non-cargo objects will freeze and sink into the ground after being moved for a certain distance from its original location, probably to avoid unwanted bugs or glitches. This is also how some road signs I ran over absolutely wrecked my truck.
Trucks also do this, not only in Snowrunner either. You'll often come across trucks with their suspension travel maxed out, go up and tap them and they're fine.
This was brilliant! Some legitimate scientific testing with hilarious results, and the sound effects were the cherry on top. I was laughing the whole time.
Thanks...I used to make such video when I started making youtube videos couple of years back, I thought it would be perfect excuse to remind myself of those days.
I remember when I encountered it first time. I had fully loaded White Western Star with trailer and I rammed road block sign. Everything was perfect until I reach this radius, because one small plank blocked on my bumper made my truck fly with the rain of wooden boxes in every direction. I was more amused than annoyed even if it happened on hard more in beginning of Michigan
This was very entertaining to watch! The devs could even create a contest out of this: "Find the only movable car and bring it to the Repair Station" :-)
I'll give you a review of my experience so far on Xbox series x. Keep the camera angled down, not so bad, but looking truck level or more, frame rates drop faster than a kid eats cake, starts freezing and closes, last night it went all black, could still "play" but only able to see the Hud and pause menu, even the title screen was black with just the words visible
Nice. It is my fun in the Snowrunner as well. Move prop cars, destroy fences by driving or by blowing a horn. Just try the fysics. Sometime it does not pay off. One time a road sign sent my Kirovets flying.
Only if the game wasn't a simulation and the people in the houses or stores are watching SD1ONE stealing their cars but instead activating their theft system, then leaving the car flipped on its side or roof 🤣
You wanna know smth funny, it’ll stop like that with almost every prop, but not rocks. If you use the log loader and a sideboard bed, you can get a load of rocks! Only problem is for some reason they have no collision with other rocks so they kind of morph into eachother but it’s still cool.
despawn I get but why are they're like freeze at their place...also this despawning time is in-consistant, sometimes it vanishes the moment it hit that radius of activity but other times it can stay freezed for couple of minutes and then vanish.
@@SD1ONE freezing is easily explained they become a part of the scenery, like the signs, barricades and all other movable stuff. What I don't like is immovable objects like that car wreckage you showed or lying construction materials on the ground
This is a much better prop solution that GTA's Concrete Hedges. If something is in the way you can move it, if it's really in the way you can make it vanish (sometimes).
Earlier versions of the game the cars would sink into the ground after about 20 seconds once touched by a vehicle or trailer. Edit 4:13 used to be the default behavior for any collision, sort of like after a tree gets knocked downl or you spend too long winching a fallen log
sd1one!! saber said that there will be 2 new dlc on the next month i think... but devs said that kenworth w990 as now confirmed to come out on next month the is pic of its headlight
I would've never thought to try this but I assume this is the reason why your truck gets stuck if you run over a road side sign and drag it away from where it originally was standing. Truck completely stops as if you hit an invisible wall. ... J
yes, although it does not happen everytime. sometimes the sign or prop lose collision and submerged into ground but sometimes it get stuck there and make your truck stuck too like we see in video.
you're joking right, this wasn't even meant to do by players...they're just props....I mean It's kind of a bonus that they're movable because in most other games they're fixed.
@@SD1ONE I think I might've found how to do it, in the models.xml inside initial.pak you can find the values for the distance required for an object to freeze, try tinkering around with the values, Rn I dont have much time to play around with these, but if you do, lmk if you manage to do it
Most of us learned this about props in most painful way - roadsign in suspension at cruise speed 😂
Yep.
exactly where i saw this first hand lol

TBH, I am still surprised that we can actually load these props onto our trucks even if for few meter of radius.
Trucks also do this, not only in Snowrunner either. You'll often come across trucks with their suspension travel maxed out, go up and tap them and they're fine.

Honestly, using props for something is something I've wanted from the start. There's so many workable prop trailers, for example. XD

so, the White WS back to ground or still stuck in space.

If you honk at those cars in Amur they fly up like scared birds
yeah they do sometimes...even without honking like I showed in last chapter of video.
Things freezing a short while after leaving their designated spot is extra fun when you have them fall into your sideboard bed

thanks for this vid. i now understand why sometimes fencepieces or sings do what they do when driven over
These cars are similar to road signs and barricades. You can't move them beyond their area of spawn, and after you get far enough, they despawn

This is really bizarre, you would think you’d be able to play with random props, but nope…
The physics in this game
are just funny lol 😂
the number of times I have gotten a truck stuck because some prop was being dragged under a trailer and suddenly stopped lmao
now that explains why my truck sometimes stuck on a very small garbage bin.. even winching to a tree does nothing..
Its funny watching the cars just freeze in place lol
