Indeed! I'm pretty novice, I hit two obstacles I had no idea how to tackle so I had to take the easy route. Almost 400 miles regardless though! Thanks for watching (:
Go Pro Hero 8 black, chin mounted, my next video should offer a quick run down of my "gear" or setup that should give a better idea of how ghetto everything is. I need to upgrade and Ill probably just cut over to a GP 10, my charging port keeps shorting out the gopro and Ive lost a lot of footage! No mic, just stock GP and messed around with the settings until I liked it. Thank you!! wind noise hits about 35-50 on roads
Great ride. I wanted to see how you did on that switchback where you got off to position the bike...but then you cut to hiking. Regardless it was a great show man. Thanks.
So I'd never really encountered anything like that before. I'm okay at rockface climbs, but sloped rockfaces I normally don't even try, at an angle. I tried to pivot turn and ran out of room. I attempted twice, but the fear of not being able to touch if I was tipping over and being a solo was enough of a reason to not attempt it at all. I got up the face, and couldn't muster up the courage to go further because I wanted to continue to ride all week. I had already taken 2 gnarly crashes and lost a clutch lever prior, so that definitely weighed in my decision lmao. This was only one of 2 obstacles I didn't attempt in the 350+ mile trip. I did give it about 4 half assed college tries before I decided that the safer route would be to just hike. I work in manual labor after all. Rocks + Me with no pads or gear = do not attemp solo. I gotchu this summer though (:
Just rewatched that section, I in fact did finish the pivot turn after it wanted to roll off the drop. But I still chose the safe route - this was early in the day too, maybe 2pm? only 40 miles or so
@@MudaFugasMoto Thanks man. Just to be clear, I was super impressed you were going to try that obstacle at all, especially because I could see a complete drop off behind you. And yes, good call on not trying too hard and then getting yourself hurt out there being all alone - so you made the right call! Very good video and great riding!
As a responsible off road rider, it is your responsibility to not ride (and film) motorized use of non motorized trails. The NW region is currently revisiting the forest management plan with an emphasis on Sustainable Trails. Thank you for the video. Trail 261A. Restrictions: Closed to all motorized, horse and bicycle use.
261A, Segment 8:30-12:22, Hiker use only. I agree it would be my responsibility to map out my routes in accordance with the trails and be as respectful as possible. You are correct, after checking the zoning, that does loop back into 261A. Honest mistake, absolutely not intentional and will be noted for the future. It was my assumption (We all know what that does,) that was a continuance of the trail I entered on marked for motorcycles. I respect all non-bikers on motorized trails, and avoid any trail not marked for bikes via signs (I planned a one night stay and only mapped out one route on this trip.) Thank you for the info, and I will try use my maps better next time (:
haha no problem man, no offense taken. Some of us lack knowledge and I definitely fall victim to that - very very new to the single track world, let alone this area in general. You had a solid point and I respect it! Never done a work party, but for here I have considered it on my 2 trips out based solely on the beauty of the area. I clipped out the segment I thanked everyone who did work parties because it did not match the 'flow' video(very short and brief clip.) I have every 3rd weekend free, friday night thru sunday evening. Let me know if either months land on that weekend - any other weekend, I'll bring my son along if he can maintain focus but no promises. The feedback and criticism was definitely appreciated, as I do like to keep gems open (:
Amazing view! Thanks for sharing!
Stunning! Thank you for watching!
Super cool ride. That last part before you got to the top looked super sketchy.

Awesome stuff!
Brap braaap!
New sub great riding!!! What phone mount is that?
The next video will have a short rundown on what I carry when I ride. Just a normal bicycle phone mount from Walmart, less than $20
Also thank you! I LOVED this solo trip!!!
Sych an awesome ride! What camera do you use and where is it mounted? Your narration audio is so good! No wind noise.

What app do you use for your maps? Nice video, that area is awesome to ride I've been there several times 👍
Thanks, appreciate it! I use Gaia for my tracking, it shows elevations so finding the gnarly climbs is seemingly easy!
Thank You! 👍
🤘🏻 🌟 🤘

@@MudaFugasMoto Cool Mud, not scolding you. We have a work party/ride/campout coming up in May or June if you want to show up. Thanks.
