Due to Peloton's Covid-19 policy that suspended home repairs, I elected to do this procedure myself. My bike's original equipment had a two-piece bearing unit bolted to the fl wheel using three screws with a flat head as shown in the video. These screws are designed to be countersunk, so the head is flush with the surface of the bearing unit. I received a one-piece bearing unit, but the three screws included had a DOME shape. You CAN NOT thread these screws on the belt drive side of the flywheel (as shown in the video) because the dome screw heads will stick out and collide with the cadence sensor once it's re-installed. Instead, you have to thread them from the other side of the flywheel. Everything else in the video is spot on. Good luck!
@@cruizdiaz1740 Agree! Support was able to schedule a visit a few days after I called and the folks replaced the crank arms and will replace my handle for squeaking. I know they just produced so many of them over the holidays that some issues probably slided. Overall a great experience with support.
I think most people refer to "replace bearings" as replacing the entire assembly. I have two bikes that both need the bearings replaced. I ordered one from Pelodoctor so I have a 3rd hub then I will replace the actual bearings. If I'm successful I'll post a video

Thanks Darnell. I too received a one piece bearing assembly. Your advice saved me much time and headache.
Great information. Thank you!
I wish I had read your comment first! Frustrating!
I called Peloton and confirmed this was the right approach. They said a new video showing this is in the works. Thanks for posting this Darnell.
Excellent video. Thank you!
That's a legit Peloton How to vid w/Matt W.
My Peloton bike bearings failed after 200 hours. This is defective manufacturing. After back and forth they replaced them free of charge
More like 20h for me... Failed after 30 days of mostly 30min classes...
true, but they were quick to respond and replace so no complaints from me. I love my bike.

i'm approaching 500 rides (99% of them have been 45 mins) and getting a clicking sound. wonder how long i have before they need to be replaced.
They have replaced mine free of charge
Are there different versions of bearings. I have a 2015 bike which had a dual piece bearing. Peloton shipped me a single piece. Can I still use it?
Somehow we started reassembling without ever having pulled the bearings.

Where can we buy these bearings
The 5mm bit is misleading, it stripped the screws. Do not recommend
Is there a trick to removing the belt? It doesn't come off as easily as shown on videos
No trick to it. Do as the video shows, pull HARD and rotate the cranks.
Where can order the bearings?
Thanks in advance
