It probably has a lot of DS only elements unfortunately. Hopefully one day we'll see a port; it's too good to be left on just the 3DS.

They are all pretty good, but I do agree that it gets tedious.
It's a shame they use the same objection voice in the other games. WAYYYYYY too high pitched.

Well... the "Early 2014" release was stated on the UK teaser trailer of this game last year, while the US version only wrote 2014 release...

So hyped that I can finally play this! Mostly because Maya's finally in a game again :D
I must have waited 2 years for this game. Nevertheless, I'm just glad it made it over here at all and that it was worth the wait. Thank you, Level-5 for giving us a physical copy. This game was amazing. There needs to be a sequel!

Sidenote, why do Japanese media producers always use "VS" when two people team up? Though I suppose _Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton VS Witches_ doesn't have the same ring to it.

What I'd seen previously made it seem like they'd start on opposite sides of an early trial, and then team up later. An actual Versus game sounds really cool!

Professor Layton and phoenix do cross swords, so it is a vs.
@@ToastyMozart Technically, Professor Layton could be considered the final boss of Wright's storyline since he's the last prosecutor.
(His only concern is the truth. He'll do everything to unveil it, even if it means being at the opposite side of the courtroom.)

I've never played any Professor Layton games (I really want to), but I LOVE Phoenix Wright, and this game looks really cool.

I'm honestly glad they changed Phoenix's "Objection." It sounds a lot more powerful here than it did in Dual Destinies, I think.
This is possibly the best crossover game to ever exist (excluding Smash Bros.). I get chills whenever I hear the main theme!!
In Europe it's available since a few months. It's very great. The story is so gripping.
puzzles were "already in" ace attorney in court anyway. so this just adds more spice to the mix.
it will look so sweet next to my Fire Emblem Awakening box

I beat it a couple days ago, and it stands up there as one of the best Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton games. I'm just hoping that Layton's last line hints at a new Professor Layton game and not just a tease from Level 5

I've only played Phoenix Wright 1. I have 2 and 3 on my phone, but I haven't got around to playing them yet. I've also never played any of the Layton games. However, I'm really considering getting this game. Should I buy it now or would it be best for me to spend some more time with Ace Attorney and introduce myself to Layton before getting this?
