This ride was important considering the fact that I was just coming off riding a Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle and both are very similar. In compare to Revolt 400 vs Ather 450x both are approx similar and good, but I will never consider to buy Ather 450x, because Ather 450x is costliest scooter + they are charging exorbitantly high Rs,2000 as monthly subscription which is totality unjustified. And Revolt 400 is offering 8 year warranty on battery, so after 8 year total cost difference will be more than double. So in my opinion TVS iQUBE, Bajaj Chetak or Revolt 400 is best option for average Indians.
Good initiative to encourage people towards EV.
Ather Should come up with Bike type vehicle rather than sticking with scooter type.
Guys trust me iam from Coimbatore .I bought my ather from Chennai and riding my ather in Coimbatore .even still today I won't have service centre in Coimbatore.That much trust I have on them .ather is purely a brand dedicated to satisfy customer.
If you have to go for service, will you travel to chennai or did an execute come down to your place?

Ather is gimmicky touch screen but revolt is powerful and proper bike
EV are mostly meant for city use as range is not enough for long distances. And in city we are not gonna use a top speed of 80-90. This is high cost and to add to it the monthly subscription charges which has no added advantage to the performance to the bike. So paying the high amount just for quick peformace ( which cannot be used 90% of time in city) makes no sense. It would be better to buy a vehicle which has a top speed of 60-75kmph and on road price between 80-95k with no additional subscription charges and a range of up to 120 km. So overall, unless u have excess money with you, it would be best to buy a vehicle from PurEV or Okinawa

i feel rv400 is powerful than ather 450x. my feeling..
and the riding range should be improved in 450x, 80KMs in eco mode and 60KMs in sport mode is not too good when you have to travel 30KMs just one way to reach office.
The vibration is coming from motor enven we have ather 450 there is no pick up in this scooter for sim recharging is 8000 and plan very expensive not good feals good charging is 3hr in portable charger in grid turbo charging

I rode both quite a bit on the same day. The Revolt was just "okay" in so many aspects. The Ather was "wow" in a few aspects. It just feels so well put together and I feel as a company, Ather Energy have far better focus and dedication to a quality product and customer service.
The ride on the Ather is absolutely fun.

Hey, so a few things.
It’s not an android dashboard yet. That’s why it’s laggy. The test ride scooters aren’t the 450X they are modified 450s giving you the similar experience. That’s why these are warp mode trials and not 450X test ride. The final product will have android with a snapdragon processor
About the seat, I’m 6 feet and I had to up the seat height by about 2inches(modified outside) and now it’s damn comfortable.
Tell chaitanya that it’s translucent panels not just glossy. Check out the images ather released. The panels will be translucent. Looks unique. Nobody has done it before. The frame of the scooter will be seenthrough the panels.
I can vouch for Ather’s service, 1yr 3 months and I’ve spend 0 on service. Got break pads changed, mirrors changed. Even the throttle assembly is new.
One thing they’re not good at, is delivering on time XD there will be delays in that.
Also you said somewhere in the middle, the ather 450 was priced so well. Absolutely agree at 1.13 Lakh I feel like it’s a steal, so much value. Hence I gave away my series 1. I hope you decide to buy it though, absolutely brilliant scooter, if I’ve got the money for it.
For those who think the price is too high, tell them to. Buy the 450 and ship to Hyderabad, ather will even service it there, and it’s still more value for money XP

And also, you said regen is not so strong right, I hope you know that regen doesn't activate itself as soon as you leave the throttle. And you need to separately activate it and ather doesn't coast so well, so it won't feel like the revolt when you let go of the throttle.
Pricing is crazy .99k+rta+2k/monthly.it means 24k/year.and we pay for it entire lifetime we use or else we need pay 1.6l+rta+400/month.really these makers are crazy. how come they came up this plan...

revolt rv400 is a rebranded e bike from super soco which is a chinese e bike comapany.. and revolt is owned by rahul sharma who owns micromax who released 2 'Indian' made smart phones and marketed it as non chinese(aao chale chini kam)..lol ;)..nd i loovve the ather 450X

just a unique frame design which ia made in India

Battery is removable so I can take it up to my flat gives me good flexibility

these ather fanboyz dont include the cost and warranty of the battery, which will be 40,000rs and only 3 year warranty
even brand new ather has a range of just 55km, lower than budget hero electric models. after 3 years, the range will reduce to 25-30km, if you are lucky in high delhi heat.
battery is non removable, a major headache for apartment users.
Hey bro, I did the test drive of the same vehicle from hyderabad which you did. The guy told me that it's Ather 450 with the warp mode added in it so the customers can experience it. Did he say the same to you or did he say it's the 450x itself?
