Tirico is the best in the business. Dude puts emotion into his calls and he genuinely loves what he is watching. Hope he is the next SNF voice whenever Michaels retires.
The Will Hill kick six call is classic, he’s got the simplest name and Tirico made it sound awesome. Also the Tirico Gruden MNF was truly entertaining.
No announcer has had more game winning, buzzer beating calls than Mike Tirico. Great personality with his play calling, very intelligent, and was the heart of some very entertaining MNF broadcasts.
Tirico is a gift and of his many excellent traits, you always know he has done his research and knows exactly what the fuck he's talking about. Not all broadcasters have this and indeed sometimes that's what we like about them (won't mention any names because for real I do like an off the cuff sort of goofiness sometimes) but there is nobody better in the business than that fella right there.
Mike Tirico is one of the best announcers in all of sports. Really enjoy his broadcasting style and he makes games more entertaining. He is one of the best.
2:38 The best one. Especially given the context of that game. Even better, after providing such an awesome and energetic call, he literally doesn’t say anything else for about a minute to let the crowd tell the story. I don’t think anyone had ever done a better job on a call than Tirico did right there.
Tirico's best call was after the Saints blocked punt for a touchdown where he didn't say a single word for at least a minute. The moment was bigger than him and he knew it.
These calls are classic, great examples of Tirico's signature style. My favorite call would still have to be Van de Velde, 18th hole at Carnoustie, in the 99 Open. Mike's disbelief at the events unfolding, described by Curtis Strange as "one of the most stupid things (he's) seen in his life" add to the infamy of that moment.
I think we should change from mike green calling the finals to mike tiriko calling the finals now... we’ve had mike green since 06..let tiriko take over for the next generation
Mike Tirico reminds me of when he first came along with ABC/ESPN at the time Tiger Woods began to emerge in pro golf in the late 90's. He covered some of Tiger's early pro tournaments, including some Grand Slam events. He continues to get better at his craft. More power to him..."Are you kidding me?"---Famous line.
1999 and 2006 British Open golf calls should be on here too. 99 Van de Velde I feel like people know about, 06 very underrated “this one for pops!” after tiger won and began balling due to the recent death of his father
The infamous "IT WENT IN THE BURN" call Tirco made when Jean Van de Velde choked away the lead on the 72nd Hole at the 99 Open at Carnoustie should of been on there.
Tirico is the best in the business. Dude puts emotion into his calls and he genuinely loves what he is watching.
Hope he is the next SNF voice whenever Michaels retires.
I love Al Michaels, but I kinda hope that's soon.
We need Mike Tirico calling football games again
Gus Johnson and Kevin Harlan too
@@ht82smash Gus Johnson ain't that great
@@Spamus what you speak, is blasphemy.
@@ncrtrooper6619 what I speak is the truth. He is an amateur and an attention hog
Such a versatile & talented broadcaster, whether doing play-by-play or studio work
“Off the upright... and IN and IN!” is my favorite Tirico quote
A call for our own 🇧🇷 Cairo Santos
Will Hill !!!!! Is my fave from him & he has so many 🔥🔥🔥🔥 , He's Gonna Win A Blocked Field Goal 🔥🔥🔥
gotta love hearing collinsworth chuckling after every nfl play
CHAMLERS.... COLE......JAAAAAAAMMMMMES
Woaaaaah
"WHAT A HIT! BALL'S FREE! ON THE GROUND! SOUTH CAROLINA... DESERVES TO HAVE IT! AND THEY DO!!!"
Tirico has some awesome calls to his name.
Why does Mike Tirico sound like a really excited Neil Degrasse Tyson
Jack Breitfeller why is this so accurate 😂😂
PLEASE GO BACK TO MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WE NEED YOU DESPERATELY
No, the Nba needs him. Lol
Or replace al Michael’s at SNF
可iiGold but al michaels sucks
Who was the MNF voice this season?
@@joelgilhernandez3070 Joe Tessitore

The Will Hill kick six call is classic, he’s got the simplest name and Tirico made it sound awesome.
Also the Tirico Gruden MNF was truly entertaining.
Him and Ian Eagle are underated IMO.
Especially Eagle
Eagle is my favorite
I came here from an Eagle comp
Definitely both
Then and Kevin Harlan are the current best

He's going to call his first NHL game.
Watched the game earlier today. He was outstanding. Heck of a job. Gonna be on a ton of NHL Games including the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Well done

Mike Tirico and Gus Johnson are the best to ever do it
I agree, though I would add Al Michaels as well.
Kevin Harlan too
Chris Fowler too
Brad Nessler, too (even though that's college football).

Tirico is super underrated as a broadcaster
Mike Tirico is one of the best announcers in all of sports. Really enjoy his broadcasting style and he makes games more entertaining. He is one of the best.
"for Desean Jackson who ACCELERATES". I get chills every time. Also, Go Birds.
“LILLARD GOOOOOOD!” Shit is so exciting
I love watching the spectator reactions in these game winning moments. Such elation in those moments.
Tirico always gets me jacked up
“On a blocked fiiiiieelld goaaal!”
I love that "take the niners to the playoffs!"
I miss that team😓
Especially because it was the last game of Candelstick Park, one of the greatest NFL homes of all time
They need to rehire him to MNF asap
Mike is a legend, he never misses the Moment 🔥🔥🔥🔥

And Peter Allis from the BBC, "What on Earth are you doing?" And, "Somebody give him a fresh brandy." Lol
My favorite announcer. I really hope he becomes the full time play by play for Sunday Night Football when Al Michaels retires
That's the plan of NBC imho
I wish he didn't stop monday night
Same
dank meme creator ikr he was amazing
ESPN fucked up
Mike and Hubie were superb. They were NBA on ESPN's second crew and I miss them together.
I remember them in the Last game of Kobe...
That Michigan-Nebraska play still hurts and this was 14 years ago. Man, if they pulled that off....
His call on Lillards game winner is probably my favorite from him.
7:52 is easily the best one 😂
tha paper bag complexion, our favorite + definitely most unusual
wowza
Tirico has never been one of my favorite announcers but his good calls are really, really good
My fav announcer of all time
I came here to find 2:59, lol. I will always remember this moment!!!
"IT WENT IN THE BURN!" 1999 Open. Unforgettable call
Polar opposite of joe buck
Joe buck sucks
Joe Goat is the best to ever do it
He'll be calling his first NHL Game on Wednesday, February 20th. He'll be doing the Blackhawks-Red Wings Game on NBCSN part of Wednesday Night Hockey
Awsome
Cool.
In the most bazaar finish, you'll ever see!!
He is amazing
Love me some Mike Tirico.
I think we should change from mike green calling the finals to mike tiriko calling the finals now... we’ve had mike green since 06..let tiriko take over for the next generation
Second Entertaining ESPN Commentator beside Mike Breen 🔥💯
He was on so many calls and I’ve never realized it
NEED HIM BACK IN THE NBA !!!! ESPNNNNNN
I had forgotten about that Baron Davis play.
So who came here after seeing Sam Hubbard make the 98 yd fumble return for a Bengals TD against the Ravens tonight?
Still miss hearing this man on MNF
Tirico is an absolute legend, he just keeps getting paired with a bunch of knuckleheads.
Maybe he'll be with Drew Brees on Sunday Night Football in the next few years
UPDATE: He'll be calling his 2nd NHL Game on Sunday when the Bruins take on the Penguins on NBCSN
2:27 - That running back still seeing a therapist after that hit.
That Alamo Bowl ending was wild. Nearly another Cal-Stanford moment!
What a legend, also this guy is the Forrest Gump of awesome sports moments

Welcome to NBC!
Sad to see Al leave Sunday night next year but man a full season of Tirico will be great
Al isn’t retiring either I think.

He needs to call at least one super bowl, please.
He’s Calling the Super Bowl in 2026
0:20 - He is single-handedly the reason why I hope NBC gets the NBA back on their network.
That Baron Davis dunk.....
The last commentator of Kobe Bryant's game. I also love his hype voices.
8:57 ahh the replacement ref year. What a time
hopefully we get Mike back on NBA when NBA goes to NBC.
Tirico best call "Where my Pork Chops!!!!"
When it gets raspy you know something good happened
Wow. I never knew that that was the guy of that voice. I always thought he was just a sideline analysis guy for the NFL
I miss this guy on ESPN on Wednesday and Friday nights.
Mike is an asterisks
Awww Man!!!
The NBC needs to get NBA games back on its channel so that Mike can commentate in some of them.
Need to add the run away beer truck from West Virginia

Incredible video
I remember his call from that Jets game "ugly. And a loss."
I miss Mike Tirico calling NBA on ESPN games. Now Mike Breen’s the only great one remaining
7:50 you legend
There is another one great call for Mike in Overtime Chiefs vs Broncos in a game winning field goal from Cairo Santos
It's on this video
MNF has not and will never been the same without him. Never understood why he left
That AB and Ju Ju celebration tho😂😂😂
I wanna see tirico join CBS sometime in the near future.
I always thought Mike's voice sounded like former movie trailer announcer John Leader.
I want mike tirico to take over for joe buck we need this type excitement from a announcer
Dude is a underrated, I loved him in my Saints games 2:37
