- On our first day (and sadly ONLY full day) at the Ankobra Beach Resort
(you can book it here: for91days.com/...)
, we got up somewhat early, had breakfast under coconut palm trees - before taking a long walk to the City of Axim along the Gold Coast Beach. It was HOT but luckily we could easily cool off by walking into the Atlantic Ocean.
We walked through an Axim residential area before we arrived at the Axim Castle - yet another slave trade castle along the Ghanian Coast.
We're going to write more about the Ankobra Beach Resort, Axim Town and the Axim Castle very soon on our Ghana Travel Blog: ghana.for91day...
This video was recorded with this drone:

Spent 9 months living in Axim. Beautiful place with beautiful people.
Really .. how was it .. what area did you live in?
@@For91Days right above the taxi station...I can see my place at 0:10! I loved every day of it. Spent 2 years total living around Ghana, wish I could have stayed longer. It’s a great country.

How come it's so slummy-looking around the fort? That area looks like about the poorest I've ever seen.
You can take a closer look at the Axim Castle on our Ghana Travel Blog: ghana.for91days.com/axim-fort-saint-anthony/
It should be renovated so that it last longer.
Totally agree but there are funds missing - maybe if more visitors would come to visit it? But if you like check out an article we wrote about the Axim castle with tons of awesome photos: ghana.for91days.com/axim-fort-saint-anthony/
