The Whangie, Kilpatrick Hills 2020 | An Easy Walk to Bizarre Rock Formations in the Kilpatrick Hills

In this video, we explore The Whangie located at the side of Auchineden Hill in the Kilpatrick Hills in Scotland. Nearby Milngavie and only 30 minutes away from Glasgow, The Whangie is a bizarre rock formation that will leave you intrigued and wondering how these natural structures were formed to begin with.
The Whangie is derived from an Old Scots words 'whang', which means 'a slice'! Which makes perfect sense when you see how these rocks look like they've been sliced right from the earth!
Legends say that The Whangie was formed by the Devil slicing it while it was flying, but realistically, it was most likely a landslide. It's fun to believe in legends though!
