I wish I came across this before I did mine. 98 camry v6 e153, Installed an act stage 1 kit and used the act throwout. under 2000 miles (month and a half), the bearing completely went. Luckily I was down the street from my job so i was able to float gears to my job and replace it on the lift. Got my setup warrantied, put an oem throwout in there and up to now, still never came across a weird sound.
Yeah I consider myself pretty lucky that mine didn’t completely go out given the condition that it was in. I remember wanting to drive it anyway but something told me to park it until I had the oem bearing in. What’s funny though is I had the exact same aftermarket bearing in on the first clutch setup and drove it for like a year without a problem. I guess it’s wishy washy or I may have gotten lucky lol
Wheel spec? Also throw me some ideas for my 01 sle solara i only have a catback right now but im saving up for some parts to make it a bit faster and get a better look already have a kaminari kit as well
18x8 +35 on 225/40’s I’d say my walk around video has most of the ideas Solara owners normally do lol Could always go with a piggy back tune, bigger fuel pump, supra injectors, and ported intake manifold/plenum/TB for some NA power gains
Yikes at least you got to it 🤣 and in my last video I put some links in the description for the videos I used to do mine. Didn’t want to risk showing somebody the wrong way on how to do the job lol
Man your Solara looks/sounds great. Appreciate the vid.
Thank you🤙🏼

Bro, bought my solara with what I thought was a throwout bearing. The damn clutch was failing and split into two. Haha
Should label this as a how to do a clutch on a toyota. I did mine in the car like this but barely any videos besides on the facebook group.
