I'm going to be filming a separate video about the Golden acrylics, where I'll swatch my entire collection (as requested by several of my subscribers!) and in the next couple of videos coming up I'll be sharing the process of making several themed watercolour palettes, pouring all of the tube paints I've collected over the past few months into pans - I can't wait to finally do this!

I find it amusing that every haul you post on the channel you say the colors you bought together weren't supposed to be a palette but wow, every time your color choices looks so good together! I'll probably save your videos in a separate playlist for color palette inspiration, haha.

I know, it's crazy!! I think it's something to do with the fact that I only buy colours that I'm very attracted to, and because I have such a strong sense of what I like/dislike, the ones I do purchase somehow always work together.

Another wonderful haul and swatching video and some stunning colours. It's so lovely to hear your enthusiasm and love for the colours as you swatch them. I have a lot of these items in my cache too. So glad you found the Derwent inktense pencils,of all the pencils I have in my own collection these are my absolute favourite, they really are incredibly vibrant because of the ink content in them, they also make inktense sticks which look like square pastels and a set of inktense watercolour pans,it's true they are permenant when dry and layer really well because of that. I love the Jacksons own brand paper too,4x6 is postcard size it's a size I use a lot in my own work digitally and traditionally, but the quality of the paper in these little blocks is amazing and at such a great price too,I think the covers of them are really smart too. I have the scraper tools from Ken Bromley too,a fellow artist told me about them, they are great fun to work with, you'll love using them am sure, they'll be great with your golden acrylics because the paint will really hold the marks you make with the tools. My order from Beyond Indigo (and my order from "Nectar" is on it's way!) has just arrived and the paints are so stunning.I am so glad I have deciced to go with trying handmade paints thanks to your inspiration.I think you are going to have a really fantastic collection of palllets from all of the colours you have shown in all these haul/swatchng videos and it will be great to see how they find a place in your work. I hope you do create a moon painting on the round wooden panel,I didn't know, but an artist friend told me a round canvas or wooden panel is called a "Tondo" apparently it's a type of window. These videos are a litle peek behind the scense of your creative process and I love that and it's like we are going on the creative journey with you and in turn it inspires us on our own creative journey too.You have a real gift for choosing colours and how you will put palettes together and it's helped me to think about this as well when I purchase paints too.It will be exciting to see the evolution of your work with all these new colours/paints using the palettes you are putting together.Thank you for all the inspiration you give us in your brilliant videos, and the insights you share with us,I have learned a lot from you and it's taking my own creativity on a new path which is really inspiring for me.There seems to be a real thing for the notion of ASMR in videos at the moment and I think your swatching videos are a form of ASMR for sure,it's a form of meditation I think.

@@NatashaNewtonArt I am really greatfull to you for inspiring me to try handmade watercolours,it feels like we are both about to go on a new creative journey through working with these amazing paints. I've made a decision(possibly quite a bold one) that I am going to work soley with handmade watercolours from now onwards, and give away all my commercialy made watercolours,I have loved them, but I feel in my creative heart,I would prefer to support these artist makers in their stunning craft and ventures. The paints may cost a liitle more, but I know I'm getting a paint that is really unique and of definite quality. I love that these makers are also artists and it shows in the paints they create, they are making these beautiful paints for the love of it and you can see that love in the colours they create.I feel like I'm making an investment in my own creative future so it's worth paying a little extra upfront when ordering, knowing I will gain so much more in the future from working with these amazing paints. And it is like collecting little treasures in a really delightful way.All the paints I ordered from "Poems About You" have arrived as have all the paints from "Beyond Indigo" and others are on their way.I'm excited to see what I can create with all these new paints and it feels right as part of my ongoing recovery to make a change to my creativity.Watercolour was the first medium I learnt to work with back in the day and I still love it as a medium, and it feels like I've come full circle almost through the discovery of these amazing handmade paints, but that I'm also starting off on a new watercolur journey with them too and that my creative well being will (which is really important to me) also benefit massively.I can't wait for Tonja's paints to arrive as well!

I think you're going to end up eventually making your own paints too - I can see it happening! :) P.S. Have you seen the posts on Instagram from the account WorldPigmentDay about the Daniel Smith Primatek paints? If not, prepare yourself for a fascinating read! (I'm very disappointed in DS).

@@NatashaNewtonArt I'm not on social media, but from you saying you are disappointed in Daniel Smith, over the Primatek paints it can't be good is it something to do with theway they mine the minerals for their pigments in this range, are there any videos here on youtube about it?
I also wanted to say one reason I suggested collaborating with a handmade paint maker to create/curate a palette of colours is that I think you are a natural colourist I really do,you have a very natural gift for choosing colours and putting palettes together so such a collaboration I'm sure would result in something really special, but you've hinted at big news coming soon,so maybe...........
P.S I ordered a dropper bottle like the one you have to use with the handmade watercolours it seems a more practical idea.

Wonderful video again, Natasha. It's always a joy to see you getting excited about your purchases. Most art hauls here on YT make me want to buy something myself but your hauls somehow make me feel as if I was unwrapping all of your lovely new purchases myself so that there's no need for me to recreate that shopping excitement for a while. :) Really had to laugh when you joked about your new catalyst brush looking like a tickling stick. My husband must have thought the same when he saw it first. Looking at it on my desk he asked why I hadn't told him that I needed someone to scratch my back. And, indeed, it's no bad tool for that kind of application either. ;)

Purpurite "Genuine" is actually SYNTHETIC manganese phosphate? Amazonite "Genuine" is actually 90% phthalocyanine! Others that are not "genuine" as claimed (and printed on their tubes) include Sodalite "Genuine", Amethyst "Genuine" (Dioxazine Purple), Rhodonite "Genuine", and Jadeite "Genuine." And customers pay more for supposed PURELY mineral pigments. It's fraud plain and simple. Corporations only respond to money it seems. #BoycottDanielSmith

About the Daniel Smith Primatek watercolors issue... I just can say that I'm disappointed, like any other that have ever used this brand. It is not fair to avoid the fact that you are not labelling correctly your paints in order to sell them like something "genuine" that is not. The owner of this company even did not answered clearly to what people was asking in his facebook video about this and his attitude was very arrogant. This was, in my opinion, a very, very, very big mistake. I foresee a decrease on sales for these primatek "genuine" paints. A real and serious artist paint brand always should label correctly it's paints. Otherwise, this brand could be carrying out acts that may be considered illicit or illegal.
