I read Obsidian and Onyx ,because of your reccomendatioin about loving Jennifer L. Armentrout's books . I had never read any of her books ,so I picked up Lux Beginings and later on in the summer I got the chance to meet her . This month I read book 1 and 2 and and I loved them! I just ordered Lux Consequences .I can't wait to read book 3 and 4 and Orgin after. Thanks so much for the suggestion it was one of my top picks for 2014 :)

Have you ever read Embrace by Jessica shrivington? I just love the series it's really interesting, it's about angels, demons, exile angels light and dark, and grigori they are half human and angel and they all have these different powers it's just really cool and it pulls you in the minute you start reading. The light and dark exiles are teaming up to destroy all of grigori and human kind and the grigori have to stop them, it's really confusing sometimes to know who's on which side. I was hooked once I started reading it I couldn't stop I finished the first book and then I went to book-a-million and got the second one. I can't wait to get the rest! If you haven't read it you totally should 😊
I don't get why people love The Mortal Instruments series. I have tried to read the first book and I just did not like it. I didn't like the characters all that much and the story was kind of boring and slow. I don't know if I should try to again to read this series or to just not read it at all, so can somebody please tell me if I should try again on the series, if the first book gets better (I am about halfway through it), and if the next books in the series are better than the first one?
This reply is kind of late but if you don't like the series so far, then you probably won't like it lol. My friend is obsessed with the series and recommended me to read it. I didn't like the first book but she told me to continue the series and said it got better. I read until book five and it NEVER GOT BETTER! lol idk I guess you should give it a try before turning it down but personally I didn't like it.

So I went to Barnes and noble for outlander and just some other book I would find (in this case it was throne of glass YASSS) and so I'm looking around the little aisles and such cuz the other half of the store is puzzles and games. After like twenty minutes I give up. I'm not going to find it. This makes me really sad. So I pick up throne of glass and decide to buy some random Sarah Dessen book because...why not, even though I know I need outlander. I ain't talking to the help desk because they ain't very helpful to me. Then *angels start singing* I see it on a pile of bad patterned purses OUTLANDER BY DIANA SOMETHING. And it was great. The cover corner was bent. It wasn't hardcover. I wasn't even sure if it was the right outlander. Thank God it was. It looked like someone had just finished reading it. It looked like a library book which made me upset but I found it and I put the Sarah Dessen book in its place. It was..a good book day to say the least.
I think the Scotland you love is the Scottish Highlands. I mean, there are areas of Glasgow where the life expectancy is 30, and have you seen the film Trainspotting? Or Filth?

I'm trying to read These Broken Stars now, but I can't seem to get into it because of major book hangover from The Darkest Minds. I'm probably going to have to wait until I get the next books in that trilogy before I read it...
I'm reading Cinder at the moment (along with 50 shade of grey series). though I hate starting a series when all the books have not come out yet, i couldn't help myself with this one. i'm such a sucker for fairytales. oh, i did want to mention something. if i'm not mistaken (and i could totally be wrong here), but i believe that Winter is officially the fourth book in the series. Fairest (officially book 3.5) was more of a side-ish story so readers could get to know the queen's take a bit better. so i think there will be one other book after winter, since the author said the series is in five part. but, like i mentioned before, i could be wrong. and if you didn't know, there are also three free short stories that you can find on the website Wattpad (and you can find it on other sites too). These are entitled Glitches - set prior to Cinder, The Queen's Army - set just before Scarlet, and The Little Android which is based on the little mermaid. oh i have a book to recommend to you . :) if you have not read it already i recommend The Duff: designated ugly fat friend. this book has just come out as a movie, but just so you know, the movie is ABSOLUTELY different from the book. the concept of what it means to be a DUFF is the only thing the book and movie have in common. though the movie was still very good on its own.
Has anyone ever told you that you look like Amy Pond? Sometimes when you turned your head, you looked so much like her that I had to do a double take. Anyway, my favorite book of 2014 was Chameleon Moon by RoAnna Sylver. It's a dystopian novel about people with superpowers living in a police state. It was brilliant. I definitely recommend it.
I think I am the only one who did not love Ruby Red. I mean it was a cute story and parts were interesting. It just did not have much depth to it and I do not particularly love any of the characters. I am reading the second one now and am interested in what is going on but it is not gripping me and making me that excited. My favorite books this year have to be The Lunar Chronicles (loved the last one but they are all good), Daughter of Smoke and Bone series (This is probably one of the best YA trilogies I have ever read. The worlds are so in depth and you never know what is going to happen next. There is romance but it is not the complete focus of the series. Second one was my favorite. Also has amazing supporting characters that you will just love to death) Ignite me, Siege and Storm and Sweet Reckoning,
I really didn't like the first book of Daughter of Smoke and Bones so I stopped reading this series! The Lunar Chronicles are really awesome and Ruby Red was pretty good I think :)
I didn't like Ruby Red, it felt very plain and I found the humour was awful. Not to mention the characters seemed so one-dimensional, I felt like there was little intrigue in the story.

Lots of booktube is obsessed with Heir of Fire but I took a month or two to get through it bc I just couldn't get into it. In my opinion, it doesn't get too much better in HOF, but the next one is better.

I screamed when you held up Ruby Red. I'm so emotional attached to that author and that book and I read it like three years ago when it came out in German but it's still in my top ten books of all time.

Favourite books: Lookjng for Alaska (John Green), Paper Towns (John Green), the Iron Fey series (Julie Kagawa), and Minders (Michelle Jaffe) BOOK RECOMMENDATION!!! The puzzle ring by Kate Forsyth is a beautiful book set in Scotland, with traditional folklore and time travel ^_^ YOU WOULD LOVE IT!! ^_^ I read it years ago, but it has stayed with me for a long time, and I'm sure it will for you too :)

My favorite books of 2014 ( I read them in 2014; not published in 2014) are Incarnate, shatter me, Daughter of Smoke and Bone & Days of Blood and Starlight and of course cinder, scarlet and cress can't wait for Winter but there is another book coming out in january about Queen Levana I think it's called Fairest Happy New Year :)

Sasha you should check out Why I Let My Hair Grow Out by Maryrose Wood. I got it for a dollar from 5 Below a few years ago and IT WAS AMAZING. So Morgan's parents ship her over to Ireland (which is pretty much the same thing as Scotland, right? :P) for a bike tour. In Ireland, she ends up going back and forth from this fairytale world and reality. I've never read Doon, but based on what you've said about it, I think you would like this book too. :)

I wish you lots of health, happiness, love and success with all the college/university stuff :D My favorites are: And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini - This book is "simply the best" Cinder Beautiful Disaster The Saint, the Surfer and the Cooperative Manager by Robin Sharma - This book is life changing!!!! I finally read the Hunger Games Trilogy (don't blame me for being so damn late :D ) so they are the last for my "top favorites" this year ;) I really like all the books that you mentioned in this video and I can't wait to read all of them! The only one problem is that I don't have enough space for many books at my room, but I'll figure something out :D

I really didn't like the first book of Daughter of Smoke and Bones so I stopped reading this series! The Lunar Chronicles are really awesome and Ruby Red was pretty good I think :)
I didn't like Ruby Red, it felt very plain and I found the humour was awful. Not to mention the characters seemed so one-dimensional, I felt like there was little intrigue in the story.

Lots of booktube is obsessed with Heir of Fire but I took a month or two to get through it bc I just couldn't get into it. In my opinion, it doesn't get too much better in HOF, but the next one is better.

I screamed when you held up Ruby Red. I'm so emotional attached to that author and that book and I read it like three years ago when it came out in German but it's still in my top ten books of all time.

I love the Lunar Chronicles and can't wait for "Winter" to be released. Marissa Meyer has another Lunar Chronicle story (between Cress and Winter). It's called "Fairest" and is Levana's Story. It was released on 1/27/15 by Rampion Books.

Sasha you should check out Why I Let My Hair Grow Out by Maryrose Wood. I got it for a dollar from 5 Below a few years ago and IT WAS AMAZING. So Morgan's parents ship her over to Ireland (which is pretty much the same thing as Scotland, right? :P) for a bike tour. In Ireland, she ends up going back and forth from this fairytale world and reality. I've never read Doon, but based on what you've said about it, I think you would like this book too. :)
