Do you think this 25 stock portfolio will beat Vanguard’s FTSE All-World? As I said in the video I’m not confident but hopefully the follow-up videos will be entertaining! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and I wish you all the very best with your investments ☺️👍
Really interesting to follow your stock experiment. Global ETF's with additional tech ETF's here for ISA. Vanguard Global All Cap for SIPP. Funny that my teenage daughters think I'm going to lose all of my money in my in my current investment strategy. It's ok though as it's only their inheritance 🙂
Haha!! Hopefully your investments will do really well! Thanks so much for sharing 👍 I think I’ll do an update on this portfolio in six weeks. I’m hoping I have something interesting to report by then 😂
Awesome video Rachel. Watching your videos has definitely broadened my trading knowledge, thank you. One question though, how many ETFs are too much? And what about with ETFs with the same companies as other ETFs? Sorry that’s 2 questions
Thank you so much for watching Tony and for your great question. I’m thinking about putting out a video on this soon. I personally only like to hold a quantity of ETFs I feel I can comfortably keep track of, which for me is currently around 5. Ideally it’s great to avoid crossover in ETFs but often you’ll see a lot of the same holdings in ETFs (Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia). It’s probably inevitable that if you invest in a few ETFs there will be some crossover but it’s important that you’re aware of that as you may end up with a portfolio that’s very heavy on Apple or Tech stocks for example so you have to be comfortable with this. I can look to cover this in more detail in a future video. I wish you all the very best with your investments! 👍☺️
Interesting experiment. Please give us monthly updates. Can you put something in each YT title so we can easily follow it (e.g. 'Stock v. Global ETF Experiment' Report) and make a separate Vid list for it? I have just started my own experiment on T212 with a mixture of ETFs. 60% XDEQ, + 10% each of IITU, IUCM, IJPH and EMVL. I will compare this pie with SWDA over next year or two. So I picked 60% XDEQ as quality global ETF which seems to beat SWDA, then IITU and IUCM for Tech ETFs, IJPH for Japan as seems to be doing well recently, EMVL for emerging markets exposure. I am hoping this won't be too volatile and still give good gain with medium risk. What do you think? I was looking at adding XNAQ (same as EQQQ but Acc not Div) but in the end decided against it as buying it now may be too expensive.
Great vid Keep them coming One for you do to some quick calcs on and maybe would make a good video So the s and p performs really well But most of the gains it makes are from the magnificent seven So if on Jan 1st 2024 You put £7000 into a S AND P ETF And at the same time put £1000 in each of the magnificent 7 Apple ,meta , alphabet,Tesla Microsoft ,Nvidia and Amazon Which would have returned the best return in the last 6 months Jan to June Before I work it out ,I reckon the £1000 in each would have massively out performed the s and p 500
Thanks so much for watching. My main ETF investments are with Barclays Smart Investor but for the stocks I only wanted to buy fractional shares and didn’t want to pay dealing fees so I went with Trading 212 where I have a second Stocks and Shares ISA (you can have more than one). I hope that helps 👍

Don't need to go into details on each stock, but a rough outline of how you chose them would be good (what basis, what tools, etc).
@@steve6375 thanks so much Steve 👍 I’ll try to add this to my update video 😊
Great video Rachel. Looking forward to the update on performance.
Thank you so much! Would an update in a month or six weeks be better?
Interesting experiment for sure!
Thank you so much! I’m looking forward to comparing the results 👍
Top video - I’ve invested £10 only with Nvidia so will play along!!! Super liked!!!!
Does this count as active management???😂
Thanks so much Blake! Nvidia has done so well. I sold mine some time ago. Wishing you all the best with your investments.

That’s a brilliant idea for a video! Thanks so much! I’ll add it to my list of ideas 💡 thank you again 👍😊
Got a free share too!!! Brilliant!
That’s great!
4:28 Dave Ramsey talks about this. Some good stocks , long term ones but are expensive. won’t beat all world.
Thanks so much for watching. Yes, I think the All-World will do much better! I’m looking forward to finding out 👍
Did you buy these through your Barclays smart investor
