    Nice reaction
"Church" is one of my favorite ASTERISM song. I really love this band especially Hal-ca who's one of my favorite guitarist/composer with Kanami of BAND-MAID. But Miyu is a monster of a bassist and also one of my favorite in the world (If you're reading this MISA, you're number 1, don't worry 😂). And Miyu is so kind, that he started following me on Instagram (we chatted about the football World Cup haha). And I'm not forgetting Mio, the glue of the band and a hella good drummer.
I hope ASTERISM will get the recognition they deserve in the near future. it's very difficult for an instrumental band to exist in the music industry and I really hope they will succeed 💪🏻

This is one of those bands that you see and you know you are witnessing greatness. My standard comment when it comes to Asterism involves their guitarists, HAL-CA. In the golden age of rock music, the guitar gods all played a variation of emoting guitar. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Richie Blackmore, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Hendrix, etc.... Then along comes Eddie Van Halen and shredding starts to become the thing. It was no longer about making you feel something, it was all about how fast you could play. In the process, they left the humanity and emotion of rock music behind. What makes HAL-CA so special is she manages to combine the two worlds of an emoting guitar with shredding. She can outright shred with the best of them but that's not how she uses it. She's not dependent upon it. Shredding is a tool she uses to enhance the emotion, not replace it..... and, she just outright has the ability to turn her guitar into her bitch, beating it down until the strings beg for forgiveness. She, and Asterism, are indeed "greatness". The rest of the world just needs to recognize it.

      She plays with heart.
Combined with high level technical proficiency.
What's not to love about that?
And… she just turned 20 years old.

@@rickwagner- I love her but I hope she go back to dress as a human being and drop the anime character image (Billie Eillish is unique and imitations can looks only terrible). And of course the importanrt thing is they release new material leave way behind this phase of uninspiring covers. Can't wait to hear them doing music again.

Yes, sir. Asterism is no joke. These musicians are top notch. They were really on a roll prior to the malware outbreak and recently seem to be playing smaller venues.

Glad that you reacted to their original song :) They're a great band that's underated in the rock metal world. I don't know why crappy songs are so popular in America and Japan :(

It's not their most showcase song, but it's definitely one of the best they've ever written! And i recommend《then&now》and《dawn》live🤘🏻

DAAAAMN! Every Asterism song is a study in World Tier musical gymnastics. Other musicians are either ashamed or inspired anytime these 3 plug in.💪🏻🤘🏻

Oh absolutely! I wasn’t implying they were shouldering the load single-handedly. The Japanese Rock/Metal scene is an extremely lush landscape.💪🏻🤘🏻

    Asterism grandissimo gruppo! Lament/Moment , Brilliant city e Tenohira de Odori,a dir poco mostruosi!!!React please!!!

Imagine: three very young japanese people who decide to record a whole instrumental concept album about the "GUERNICA" painting by Pablo Picasso, and of course about the Guernica drama during the Spanish civil war. They are not only amazing musicians, they're also highly educated and sensitive artists.

"Church" (especially in this clip) is just amazing. For me it ranks up there with Funkadelic's "Maggot Brain", Frusciante's "Before The Beginning", Ween's "A Tear For Eddie" and Zappa's "Chunga's Revenge" when it comes to instrumentals.

Since Asterism are super creative musicians, each of their songs are very diverse and every Asterism fans will have their own "masterpiece" song. As for me, their masterpiece song is "Dawn" ua-cam.com/video/buQPvINJcA0/v-deo.html , until now it still amaze me how such a awesome piece of music created by average 17yo teenagers.

With the creativity that these 3 possess, especially considering their age, you could equip quite a lot of people. And the way they let their instruments speak for them, sounds better to me than 99 out of 100 vocalists out there. :) That they are making and releasing music for years and are relatively unknown to this day should be classified as a crime, and shows how f'd up the music landscape is imho. ✨
You want to hear their best songs? Then there's no way around "Dawn" (Live 2019/04/20). Yes, it is a fancam, but believe me, it is worth it. It's a journey, and the last 2-3 minutes of it have already fried the circuits in some people's heads. Also, I think their first MV to 'Rising Moon' is pretty good as well. :)

Great reaction - really happy you chose to give them another go 😉
" Rising Moon " is worth a go if only to see a heavier side to them and if you like covers they do a mean cover of Stevie Ray Vaughan's " Scuttle Buttin " 🤷‍♂

The bass player seems to be pulling double duty as a bass and rhythm guitar player. reminds me of Steve Vai playing Teeth of the Hydra.

Is a shame your first taste os Asterism was Unravel, is like putting Animals as Leaders or Polyphia to do Justin Bieber's covers. I can understand one or two anime covers to use the algorithm and attrack clicks but a full album of uninspiring anime pop songs (and I say it as big anime fan) is a crime. Recomended are Dawn, 155, Light and Darkness, Rising Moon or their covers of Beat it and Jump.
