Having a hobby is extremely important. Two weeks ago I traded like crap. If I didn’t have a hobby to get my mind off of trading I would of kept forcing myself to make bad decisions. It helps reset my emotions. Sometimes that’s all you need to get back on your feet. A reset

I think a lot of new traders also have to deal with FOMO. Starting out, we don't have multi-monitor setups, so we cannot catch all the opportunities for that day -- mainly, we are just focusing on one ticker. If we borrow shares, and must force to wait 15 minutes after market open, there is a chance that the stock does not perform the right way. So we think we have to force the trade with the locates, or else they are wasted. Or, maybe we enter, maybe on backside, but there isn't enough meat left to be worth it. And scalping intraday is very tricky to do to make the fees back. It's very hard to just walk away when you miss your chance or don't see an opportunity.

The only exception I would take on the early (at the open) trading is that if a stock is strong, with good news and a good setup, and there is a dip at the open to a support level. I will trade these dips.
The same can apply to a potential short that goes up to resistance in the first ten minutes....

I recommend a book 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear - since this video is on the subject of Habits. It teaches you that motivation is not the problem, it is a lack of good habits. Good habits (and Dux and Grittani) have made me consistently profitable.

Sir,Do you recommend pairs trading using forex( say EUR/JPY & GBP/JPY OR AUD/USD & NZD/USD)--correlations are 90% and that gives solid staying power & sharply cuts down draw downs. Buy underpriced pair & sell overpriced pair(say using 14 period RSI on 4H charts)? And there are lots of such pairs with 90%/80% correlations--and ALSO that would sharply cut down accounts blow ups even for new traders.

    What broker allows premarket options?

  • @keokio7
    @keokio7 2 роки тому

honestly i just wake up like 15min before the market opens to make sure i don't trade premarket. It's amazing i fell into the same time frame as you after about an hour or so after the open is when you start to see exhaustion and the reversals start to form with volume dying out. That's when I begin my short selling. The first hour is when i have my biggest losses. So many "Bear Traps" i call it, so for first hour i just watch. Unless a stock was really broken from premarket i may short at the open.
Premarket trading can be done, but the chart needs to conform with the volume. Unless you get massive volume to confirm the pattern and exhaustion, its just 'painted tape'. Thats what makes premarket tricky

congrats on the $6M my dude! all the haters and doubters are quiet now, lol. are you feeling charitable? maybe I can get you to answer a question. Q: you said before on multi-day runners that you should 'remember the original market cap'. But you never explained why. I tried to think about it.. is it because you expect the stock to drop at the average of that original MC? a stock fading from 500M when it started at 100M is different than a stock that went to 1B from 500M, I understand this. But there also comes into play float rotation, which in theory could keep that stock in that upper level for a long time. Maybe I got it wrong completely. Your answer will help a lot of traders -- appreciate it.

I usually played srarcraft brood wrs
I played against the machine, melee on the map Hunters, there was another but I forgot
I would be protoss, I would get the dark archon, then quickly get them to turn the drones of the terran and zerg into protoss
then I would make all the buildings of terran n zerg
then at the entrance point were the enmy will arrive, I put tanks, terran bunkers, and the zerg thing that goes under ground and makes spikes come up, but I would also have helli carriers, but they are invisble becayse behind them is the thing that makes them invisible, and im not sure, but I would have the star cruiser too, n they would be invisible too,
but at the front is the dark archon
n when the machine team is coming, I would be turning them into prottos, and I just do that, till there are no more resources in the map
    really no strategy, just bored.
I hacnt played it in over 10 years
I just play count sttrk 1.6 now,
