This siren is 50+ years old (40 or 50, easily), and has been running for the same amount of time. This siren is not siren head, and has no relation to it. The audio from siren head is stolen audio from a different siren, and that siren too, has no relation to siren head in any way. Hope this clears things up.

It has no standpipe. It's mounted on top of a steel light pole. Steel poles are hollow. The blower is connected to the pole and the air goes through the pole like it would a pipe. Steel poles taper towards the top. That means they become narrower. This one tapers to 3 inches, which is the size of the flanges that Thunderbolts use to mount to a standpipe. The standpipe Thunderbolts use is also 3 inches. This pole tapers to the same size as the pipe, so people just assume it is a pipe. It isn't a pipe. It's very wide at the base because it is tapered and it is a pole. Poles are tapered. Pipes are not.
Tyler is right, but i was referring to solid vs hollow in general. Those Thunderbolts speak with authority, there was another commenter that didnt like the square shape of the horn, thats what gives it more authority. I wish the siren behind my house was a Thunderbolt instead of the (aca?)128.

It's not wobbling. It is flexing. It flexes because the pole is steel. Steel is also used to make springs. It is used to make springs because it can bend and flex, yet return back to its original shape and form. Wobbling would imply that a fastener such as a nut or bolt is loose. Nothing is loose so it isn't wobbling. It flexes due to Newton's Laws of physics. One being that an action, or force, has an equal and opposite reaction, or force. The electric motor that drives the rotator mechanism applies a force to the chopper and horn assembly to make them rotate. That force is also applied in the opposite direction, but to the pole. This force makes the pole flex a certain distance based on how strong that force is and the spring constant of the pole.
No they are both completely different. This one has a completely different sound and view. The modulator (the one your talking about) is an electronic siren. It is able to do way more sounds than the thunderbolt. It also has a disc like model and can do voices. So no they are not the same.
Been gone for over a year and was supposed to be finished August 2018. No such thing as blower clamps. It's on a steel light pole. The loaned 1003 head currently there had a cracked spur gear and never had the rotator motor wired up. P.S. I have a working set of solenoids out of a 1003 if St. Paul wants them. I'd be more than glad to donate and install them since I really don't need them. They're free as long as I install them and no contractors are involved. But the chance of that happening is zero so I'm not too concerned.
...no... It had been taken down to have the rotator gear repaired. When it was down, it had a fresh coat of paint applied. I've also worked on this one. Ya'll need to stop.

It is NOT mounted solely on a tall standpipe nor does it even have a standpipe. The air from the blower passes through the pipe to get to the siren head. Some people just don't read the description.

It just had a solenoid go out. What they had worked better than the 1003 head the contractor gave them as a loaner.

@@thunderchild2756 I mean without any of that, just a normal Thunderbolt 1003. Actually I think if you could random change the pitch randomly, you could do chimes, but voice is impossible normally without any of the speaker stuff
