It’s easy to pop off the bottom disc off a canister, put the match in the lift, and tape the disc back. Easier than poking through the thick cardboard. Now a pro will tell you to never pull back the shroud and stick a bare match head in to quickmatch, the lift of a shell, or on to a fuse. People have been killed doing this on large display shells. It’s extremely unlikely but the friction of sticking a bare match in to the black powder lift can ignite the match. The shroud prevents this friction. High shot count, small tube cakes have tubes too small to stick a shrouded match head in them. An easy way to deal with this is to use a short piece of soda straw to bridge the match to the visco. Cut the visco short for near instant ignition. See: ua-cam.com/video/d9fLAYEuCv4/v-deo.htmlsi=Yhg3C2-Dg5X_ZG30
I’ve never had good luck putting an igniter straight to fuse, so Pyro Boom sells these little plastic things that you connect to the fuse and insert the igniter into the plastic piece and it should ignite
Why wouldn't you recommend leading the igniter into Visco fuse? Could you just make a slit in the visco like you did the quick fuse? Great information, Thank you.
Hey, I've been following you channel for a long time, I really like how you share the same passion I do. It's so cool what you do. I love blowing up Fireworks on the 4th and New Years. I actually went out 4 hour drive to get fireworks, it was a hassle, but I got them, I'll be haveing a blast this time!
I am pretty sure that everything on their website ships worldwide (besides e-match?) but you could certainly reach out to them via email! They are super nice, ask for Joel or Scott
Just bought 3 cases of red apple canister shells in georgia, so I am stoked about that! The place is about to go up on pricing so good timing to buy 240 shells for the fourth, it is very early but I don't mind it one bit
Not only entertaining 🤩👏🏾👏🏾 he's educational 🤯🧐🤔. Thanks for always thinking about making everyone's Pyro experience as amazing as possible !!! Either with tips on safety, shopping, or just putting on a good ol show. 🎆🎇🧨
Although I don't really fire enough fireworks to justify a Cobra, it's still interesting to see how it's done. Hope you get some rain soon, although sometimes you gotta be careful what you wish for. Next thing you know you got floods, lol! Thanks and take care.
Just curious since I am not experienced with eMatches, why would you tape/secure copper wire to your shell? Won't that cause a problem when it leaves the tube? Am I missing something, as I have never dumped out the shell wrapper, only the lift charge bottom cap between shells? Again, I haven't seen much, but what I have seen is quickmatch into the lift charge of most canister shells, if they alter the visco at all.
If you’re securing the wire to the shell always also secure the wire to the tube/rack. That’s when the wire is taped around the consumer canister shell, the lift charge actually blows off the paper wrap on the shell itself so it’s pretty safe.
I can see why you’d think that, however the lift charge on consumer shells completely destroys the paper surrounding the shell. It’s not the same as a pro shell where the casing acts as the paper wrap. It’s pretty safe to do with consumer shells
you probably hear this a lot, but your videos, not saying this to be nice or relatable or whatever, put a smile on my face and give something to look forward to in the day, especially because my state doesnt allow fireworks and i dont have much to do/look forward to. thanks cody
I don’t currently have a tutorial on the talon ignitors. But, I usually with a talon ignitor you’d always be attaching the clip to a fuse. With e-match, it’s the opposite because instead of attaching to a fuse, it goes right into the firework for instant ignition.
I never use zip ties for shells especially white fuse I found best is to cut the end of she'll fuse and use electricial tape it's more reliable faster and cheeper

Thank you for this demonstration.
Codey I was wondering! So many quick fuses! Thanks for all the great videos - even if they are coming out really late 😎
Nice video dude!

Like a MJG fuse initiator?
Your videos cure my boredom 🙂

Always good to see a new video
Do you if you Can you get the cobra in the UK my mate got me a small firing thing but not used it cos I'm ot sure if it would any good lol 😁😁😁😁

@@CodyBPyrotechnics thank you for getting back to me 😁😁😁😁
Can you fire multiple cues manually?

Also you can use slats and or multiple matches per que

Very informative, thanks for the tips
Was wondering if you tape wire to canister will it not hold the shell back somewhat or will it tear away from the tape?

This was literally so helpful but is there anyway you can do it with the firefly system
Possibly in a future video I can do a demonstration on this!

Thanks so much for the comment 💙
thank u for this video cody b and thank u for the tips on stuff
I really wish I could live in a state that wasn't afraid of its own shadow wrt to fireworks... Demolition Man was such a prophetic film!
Looking to grab a Cobra this weekend. Do you have a video on e-match vs Talon etc.? I’m still a bit foggy on those.

Thanks man! Love the channel and you’re certainly good at helping me spend my money! Haha.
Are you shooting at the Gravel Pit?
Unfortunately it’s not the same one :(
@@CodyBPyrotechnics Aww, the memories.😪
Love it !

Mr.cody why don't you make video on loud crackers.its ban in USA?
Unfortunately yes it is banned in the USA :(
I’m early do I get a cookie 🍪?
Will you take a heart instead? Lol 💙
Fun fact: in a game I've been playing a lot recently, there's a spacecraft called a "Cobra Mk 3."
Was that game "elite dangerous"? Cause I have the same ship xD
Image using 2,000 of the firing wires for the New Years show lol that would take so long!
Very cool! 😎😁
Star fireworks has a 12 pack of triple break canister shells called “threes a charm” should definitely check them out!
I’ve had them lol they are good ;)
More with Cobras!
Good info. Great vid 👍🏾
One shell, one tube..... firework porn lol
Interesting
I’m not going to say easily......but you can make those fire work fire systems you have.....
It is a project tho....
Nothing beats the excitement of lighting a fuse though by hand call me old fashioned
☺♥
Hmm interesting
👍👍😎
