    Solo improvisation differs for each player. There are different types of solo styles from each regions in West Africa. Most of the time, each region will have their own unique solo phrases or styles.
    Improvisation simply means to take a standard phrase and improvise on it, to make it into our own expressions.
    By creating these videos, we hope that we can provide a learning path for you, so that in future, you can imitate other phrases and start to build your own feeling and style onto it. And that's what a lot of artistes do. We basically imitate one another and then start to apply our own "voicing".
