a lot of people are talking about banning about manaphy, blaziken and even azumarill already…the game’s been out for 2 days :(
All those pokemon, been out??? with a lot of the same moves????????? Why ban them now??????
not like these pokemon have been out for a long time and were op even in other places, nah nah its just BDSP

It's especially hilarious because there's no competitive in BDSP

"Idiots at Nintendo"
I love the fact that he thinks Nintendo regulates Showdown.
@Quax nintendo doesn't do that either. they're just the distributor. they don't make pokemon.
Or Pokemon in general. Nintendo is just the publisher here...
@@FilipV88 Yeah a lot of people don't understand what a publisher is in this industry; yeah publishers often own their own dev studios, but GameFreak is not one of Nintendo's, neither is HAL for that matter.
Or he thinks Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are the games where Manaphy was new
arent all the showdown modes based on the rules of generational pvp?
I love how it’s like “you didn’t play by my rules that give me an advantage so therefore your terrible at the game” the logic is astounding here ladies and gents
I use brelooms to stall, in one game it came down to mega scissor and it. I ended up winning with Spore + Leech Seed, even with it having Roost. My opponent made a snarky comment at the end, “That’s the only way you can win huh.”
It baffles me people actually think “strategy” is cheap.
Its more because people are used to fighting npc trainers who you can defeat with ease, as such when they have to fight actual strategies they often can't keep up because they don't have one of their own or just coppy popular smogon builds without knowing how they work in an actual battle
@@unnamedtenno6790 I feel like they forget the fact that this franchise was and still is still made with young audiences in mind...the aren't going to make the ai that good at planning.
@@Akatsuki69387 I think they should add that to the game to some degree just having some competitive battles vs ai trainers to a lesser extent to give some more challange in the base game, I know battle tower/tree is something that comes sort of close but those can cheat like making teams that perfectly counter your team or having pokemon with perfect type advantage. It would be better to have trainers who have a sertain strategy you aren't used to and having to think how to counter it on the go
@@unnamedtenno6790 yeah, that would be cool. Sun and moon made an attempt at that with those "specialized" trainers (forget the actual name) but it was...not the most successful attempt ^.^'

To answer this guy's question: None of your "counters" work on Manaphy because they don't actually counter it.
You know how you stop a Mon from maxing out its SpA? Taunt, Torment, Snatch, Haze, Roar, Whirlwind, & using offense to actually threaten its survivability on the field.
Attempting to tank 4× SpA hits from a Manaphy that has a moveset that hits 90% of type combinations neutral or better isn't a "counter." Preventing them from reaching 4× is a counter.

I've never seen Manaphy referred to as a "blue teabag" before, but it's perfect.
>Comes into game with a gaping weakness to ice moves
>"this wasn't fair"
Boy lost one pokemon and immediately lost his mind with it
The opponent used "vehicular manslaughter!"... it failed!!!
It's one thing to get mad about Manaphy, but then he started freaking out in the second battle when you set up with Gengar...so it's not just Manaphy he has a problem with but the concept of losing in general 🤔
This is what I was looking for literally blew a gasket over getting raw dogged by gengar
