The energy + implications in this trailer are so far from how this beautiful movie unfolds, feels + what it represents. It's not a typical romantic comedy, as this trailer suggests. It's not really a romance at all. And the music they play in the background? Not in the movie. Not anywhere near the tone of the movie. I can't imagine why they would create the trailer like this unless they assumed it would get better viewing from the mainstream. One of the best, most heartfelt and touching movies I've ever seen.
Wanted to write just the same things when read your comment. The trailer is misleading and makes the movie look simplier and shallower than it is actually.

I've watched this movie at least 15 times since I stumbled upon it some years ago, and I just watched it again the other night. I love the authentic accents and didn't have much trouble understanding the words (there were a few that it took me a while to figure out, but none of the important ones). Love this movie! This trailer is very badly done, though, doesn't capture the tone of the movie at all.
This movie is more emotional than happy and romantic like the trailer portrays. It's still an amazing movie though and I'd HIGHLY recommend it :) Almost cried at the end lol
The ending was so sad. The mother had a confrontation with the dad about Frankie and then he dies. Frankie doesn’t realize that his father died

Cute movie, but there were MANY misconceptions about Deafness in this film that ruined it for me. Also the fact that they used a hearing actor for a Deaf character is evident. I also hated the ending.
