This is all well and good - you are using a well behaved and placid dog to demonstrate on. How about showing us how to administer ear drops to a nervous Staffie who tries to bite you every time you try and put drops in.
I've seen other video's where they teach the dog how to accept you putting stuff in it's ears. Maybe you need to slowly work your way there instead of trying to force it.
My dog is very reactive to having his ears touched due to his current infection but this time he sensed that I actually knew what I was doing and it went super smoothly :) Thank you.
This was extremely helpful! I know I hate getting water in my ears when I shower, and my vet just prescribed some ear drops for one of my fur babies ears. He also gave me 3 little syringes. I haven’t given the prescription to my dog yet because my vet didn’t explain to me how to do it. The tips of the syringes I was given are very small, I wish it was a little longer like the nozzle in the one you used. But, nonetheless, this video helped me a ton, and also gave me the confidence I needed to do it, and do it properly. Thankyou so much for taking the time to shoot this video and share it with us!
Thank you for the informative video. I wasn't sure how far to put the drops. My precious little dog thanks you. His ears have not gotten better and I see that I wasn't putting the drops in correctly.
Very helpful and clear video instruction. Thank you. Unfortunately, my dogs ear is infected and painful for me to put the nozzle or cotton wool in as deeply as you demonstrate. I'm doing the best I can until the vet can see him again in a few days.
My vet didn't tell me about the ear canal running down the side of the dogs head like that. They said just pop the tip of the nozzle a little bit and squeeze. I'm disappointed, considering my dogs ear problem was far down the ear. For £200 I'd expect a tiny bit of education to come with the medication. Not going to the vet again, next time my dog has a problem, it's UA-cam and pets at home for her treatment, as it's more professional. Anyway £200 for a consultation and medication that costs £20 online, then a follow up consultation where they tell me I'm not applying the drops correctly. Bit stupid of them, I did not do 5 years in veterinary university, but I would recommend it if you have a dog and an incompetent vet.
This dog will not sit still for me to do that but what i noticed at the vet is they elevate the dog with the fear of falling so this will be my first attempt either it will work or i will be treating myself for dog bite.
My current doggo has had a rough life compared to my previous furry friends. She's had parvo, among other illnesses, so she's learned to trust me. This video helped me to again not let her down. Ear drops in, thanks! When someone gives you a furry kid and says all shots are done, check up on that, ask for papers.
My dog has a year allergy in her ears but when I try to put the meds in the ear she trys to bite me. How do I put her ear drops in her ear without getting bite?
Are those even necessary when using antibiotics.. I gave my dog antibiotics Xiclav like amoxicilin, and the docotr gave ear drops with it for a ear infection..
So this whole time I’ve been putting the ear drops in while my dog is laying down and putting them in from a distance thank u for this vid i wanna be a get when I’m older this has helped me a bunch for my dog
My dog would bite me. His ears are sensitive without infection. Nevermind with. When I brought him to the vet he almost bit her for trying to swab and they want me to put drops in. I paid $85 to just walk in the door not including examination and meds and another med just incase ugh
Doing this for my dog is literally impossible so I guess she can scratch her ears to death at this point idc anymore. All she allows me to do is wipe the inside of her ear but that’s as far as she’ll let me go. And the vet office always want to charge $1,000 for a visit so OH FUCKING WELL 🤷🏽♂️
This video is not helpful at all. Obviously this dog does not have an ear infection. They hurt, and dogs yell and do not want you to touch their ears. there is no way that you can put the drops in like that and no way the dog is going to let you clean the ear like that with a cotton ball. All is fine once the ear infection is cleared up, but realistically not before. We are lucky to get anything even remotely close to the ear canal - and massage in from the ear flap until the infection is better. Just my opinion.

@@nowirehangers2815 I don't understand. Extreme pain causes flight or fight. He has no problem submitting to my care for him, only staying put when I place a hard plastic tube into his very inflammable ear.

The dog mite drops that I purchased has a little tiny tip that isn't even an inch long
Thank you for a great demonstration

Thank you! This video is SO much better than the others I’ve seen. Great job!👍😊

Thanks for sharing, earned a sub. + like! How do I open the ear drop upon first use? Thanks.
How often do they lose their hearing? There's a label saying may cause hearing loss . I have a Chihuahua 😊🐕
My damn doctor gave me ear drop without that long tube and hard to drop it when your dog is so hyper !
+Uchiba Uki mine too, howd you do it?
I bought the tube in walmart

Best example ever ❤
Well that dog didnt run away. Mine does!
same bruh !😅
mines try to attack 😂
What if your dog try's to attack you?
Thank you, we definitely weren't putting the nozzle in deep enough.

mine won't me anywhere near his ears and even tries to bite the ear drops dispenser. Off to the vet again then.

I drank my dog's ear medicine. What should I do?
Spit it into your dogs ear...
Nothing, congrats your ear is healthy now
Ease in for a kiss then spit it in your dog's ear. Works like a charm
My dog keeps getting ear infections and I don’t know why
Might be because of environment
If only it was this easy on my cockapoo puppy. So traumatic every time :(
God bless
My dog would bite me. His ears are sensitive without infection. Nevermind with
and it takes forever for a drop to come out, so i opened it and sipped a bit more in my head shaking dog instead of 3 drops
My dog won’t let me do this
Well I'm off scones now thanks love

my dog become wild when i even try to put her drops in
By this time by mestiff would have teared me appart.
And if this doesn't work keep coming back for 9 month's and you will be about £2000 down
Yeah now try my dog. You'd have to put him to sleep first.
I hope you mean sedate him. Putting him to sleep kind of defeats the purpose.
Sounds like you are the problem
Its like giving a cat a bath. Im traumatized
this shit is impossible
