Glitch Portrait Effect | Photoshop Tutorial

In today's Photoshop tutorial, I will share a cool technique on how to create a glitch effect by using displacement maps and filters. There's so many different glitch effect styles out there, I've tried to come up with something fairly unique. Anyways, hope you enjoyed. If so leave a like!

dude I use older version of Photoshop/ I recently download CC 2017 but whenever I 3D extrude it shows blank white. Never happened in CS6. Any help?

for me black and white isn't available after I convert the image to smart object... :(

Make sure you're using 8Bits/Channel. Image > Mode > 8Bits/Channel. Also, make sure RGB Color is selected. Let me know if this works for you. :)

Sorry, I'm not too sure what the issue could be, I haven't ran into that issue yet. I would reset Photoshop. Close Photoshop, Alt+Control+Shift + Open Photoshop. Accept the changes. Make sure the above settings are applied. You will have to add all brushes, actions ect again. Let me know if this works for you. :)

try something like : generates 1 | Wavelength min 82 - Max 179 | amp 541 Scale Hor 97% Vert 1% , I use PS 2018 works for me

what size is the picture of the model? I think when I download it from deviantArt its a smaller version and that's why the distortions/filters always turn out looking differently.

I don't know if you have the same problem I had but my problem was with the wave distortion if you mess around with the wave lengths only and keep all other settings you can get it the same as him I set mine to 151MIN and 152 MAX Keep them close together and just test it out

Also if they seperate too far you can turn the generations down from 86 I set mine to 15
