Jet fighter tech for Ford Focus is clear winner

- Ford’s first Head-up display for Europe will make it easier for Focus drivers to keep their eyes on the road as they monitor information on a display that is projected to overlay the view ahead. It also is the first such system in Europe that is clearly visible to drivers wearing polarised sunglasses.

about time Ford caught up with other manufacturers, pity its just a flip plastic display and not fully onto the windscreen, but at least it's supposed to be sunglasses proof, which other vendors don't provide as yet. Just a shame its a £400 option for what it is, which i think is a bit over-priced, especially when most mid & top trim levels of rivals cars have this feature as standard.

Polarized sunglasses compatibility is very important to US market but not that important in EU.
Well i have on and i live in the EU and i think many others in the EU get good sunglasses too

Shame the 'tech' didn't stretch to including at least one electric variant - no Hybrid, No PHEV, No BEV. In case you hadn't noticed Ford, you really need to start trying again.

Unfortunatelly Its pitty its this kind of head-up and not projected HUD to windscreen as BMW or other manufacturers are doing, as this is uncomparable and you still need to re-focus in comparison with projected one. But better than nothing. I hope they will catch up with competition in Mondeo successor.

I have tested the heads up display in a Mazda CX3. And I have to say.
it's more of a nuisance than a convenience.
Because your eyes still need to adjust to the road.
And forget about wearing sunglasses, terrible view.
Curious how well this display performs.
A.D.D. in my CX-5 is fine, no plastic flip up bit in the way, beamed onto the windscreen and even with sunglasses still visible.

You must be kidding. You call that stupid plastic flap a "head-up display"? And talk about jet fighter technique? Come on, who are you trying to kid? You should take a look at BMWs to see some real head-up displays. What you're showing in this video is a joke.
Is this why ford is getting out of the car market?
