Ford makes the best Drivers Car.
VW-Group or Opel not even close when IT comes to handling.
Thanks, FORD!
peter debel VW has better comfort and quality though
It's been developed around 2005. Used in some Ferrari models to raise the car while approaching the bump. It's been used in Mercedes S Class (W222) since 2014 to adjust the suspension. Unfortunately, this is not a new technology for car manufacturers :)
This is priceless for Eastern Europe!
Developed in Europe but its been in the USA for a while. It uses 12 ultrasonic sensors at the front to detect the potholes.
Great technology for cars by ford. I don't know about Europe but we definitely need it on Indian roads where there 's less roads and more potholes!
subhash ranjan we dont need it for potholes but for the thousands of speed bumps
Those potholes are so small, test them in Michigan, those are potholes 👌😌
We need this badly in India!
Saravana Kumar system crash....😂😂😂
Sports Tourer LOL! You beat me to that reply!
the system will be overworked here in india
I need this technology on my Ford Fiesta...
From Italy.
What if both front wheels simultaneously get into a large pothole or a ditch? Will the car jump -- or simply hit the bottom of the ditch with folded shock absorbers?
StuffLikeThat. now thats a really good question....
StuffLikeThat it uses 12 ultrasonic sensors underneath the car at the front. It can work on both wheels simultaneously. The front wheels don't react as well as the rear, as the car has longer to prime the rear suspension. All it does is massively stiffen the suspension on the wheel(s) that detect a pothole.
This should have been on the latest Mondeo the technology was available in the states years ago and was fitted to the Fusion.
We need that in Brazil, but I got my doubts if it would survive without overloading the system or breaking down. ;D Luckily, my city got excellent roads, but some streets at the major cities of São Paulo state are terrible.
Wasn't this launched on the facelift Fusion in USA 2 years ago?
Richard Holland yes
Richard Holland yep but europe is third contry
Yes, on the fusion sport. I and other sport owners don't see that it is effective. Many have damaged or bent wheels even on smaller potholes.
Europe isn't a country.
Tom Roth so, it's pretty much useless?
I take it they developed the car on UK roads ;)
They wanted to, but there was so little left they're having to develop a "road detection system" instead of pothole detection.
John Sim, brilliant!
You've never been in Rome, right? 😂
I love ford ❣️
Should use Michigan for test grounds, plenty of potholes around here.
When arrives in Brazil ??
let's make cars hovering above the road, no more bumps problems...
in Brazil , the holes on the streets will break this system in 2 days 😂😂😂
I am going to buy a new focus. I can't wait until the moment!
Argentina has a very nice playground to test the system hahaha
So you guys have a base in belgium.... And you call it belgian supsension kit?
You should test it in Chisinau, Moldova, Albisoara street :D
Amo Ford y mas los fiesta
I hope the american focus looks like this next year
Ford, please bring this Focus hatchback to the U.S. 6-speed manual
Daniel LeRoux That's going to be difficult considering Ford is only going to sell the Focus RS and Mustang along with all the trucks and SUVs in the U.S.
Chaitanya Rao The RS is gone too
Nobody will buy it, put money where your mouth is.
Mike McGlock I'm ready to buy it if they are willing to bring it, I can guarantee it. I'd choose the 6-speed manual since it has already received rave reviews. But if they have fixed the faulty dual-clutch automatic with the all-new 8-speed auto transmission, then the majority of Americans will be happy buying the optional auto and Focus hatchback sales will top the competition. I'm sure if Ford marketed the manual transmission - since it's one of the best in the business - and if they had more of them on the lots at the dealerships, then more Americans would choose the manual. Also, Ford needs to do what Mazda does with the Mazda3 and offer the manual on all the trim levels, even the top (Titanium or ST-line if they choose to offer it). They can't expect higher volume of sales of the manual if they limit it to the stripped down or sedan versions. They need to give us the 6-speed manual with the Hatchback in all trims and make it available to test drive and purchase on the lot. I'd march straight to my local Ford dealer if they offered this new Focus hatchback manual with my check book, ready to sign!
*India needs this the most.*
I bet ford tested this function in Romania😂☺️
Adevarat 😂😂
Pls bring that to Colombia
IN PUERTO RICO POTHOLES ARE JUST NORMAL. HAHA. WE HAVE TO LEARN THE ROADS SO WE CANNOT LEAVE WHEELS ON THE ROAD.
Ciekawe jak długo by wytrzymało to zawieszenie...
Wow😍
To rupa. Ne znate vi šta su rupe! Dođite u Srbiju da testirate senzore i amortizere
Gvendolin AJ Di drugdje nego u supak balkana hahaha
Hope it really works!!
Ooo araç tam Türkiye yolları için tasarlandı desene, tabi ötv kdvden almaya gücümüz yeterse
Ford you want to see the potholes come to INDIA😉😂😂
Please sell this in America. Thanks
Go to Greece to perfect the system!
Why are not launch Ford Focus in India
How fucked we don’t get this in the US. I don’t want an SUV. I enjoy my focus st
Get this focus to India ASAP
This Focus completely lost its original shapes. Shame.
Agreed, the design is so generic. However, it's not a bad car otherwise.
Szilveszter H. Car still looks nice. And if it protects itself from potholes, I don t care if it looks like a tank.
Well, I'd say that it's very good and a great improvement in this case.
Yeah I love its techs. But not the shape. Still prefer 2010 focus
Actually they develop it because of the Bulgarian roads...they are total nightmare for the drivers..
Bulgaria have the worst roads in eu i cant wait to try it here. Lol
Volvo did that too
No need to build special tracks having pot holes. You can use any road in india 😂
What if an AVG fat American drives it??
Dok ne rikne senzor...
Sue the councils......
This is damaged road ? Hahhahahaha Come Turkey and watch
This is for people who dont give a .... about their car anyway. ^^
Ford why discriminate countries like India, why not give us a Focus?? No wonder you never get the market share and power that you are worthy of.
It's not a focus. It's a fuckinh Hyundai van
some of the worse roads in Europe no wonder it's developed in Belgium
Ooo ugly
