I’m a white metal head from Baltimore and I can’t get enough of gogo. I love it
I am not from DC. But when I lived there back in '97 the people there embraced me as one of their own. I love Go-Go music, it brings back great memories; crabs in the summer time. I regret having left DC and that culture. Nothing but good times.

I feel you. Im from Baltimore. I started college back in 2001 at Bowie State. My roomates and most of my homies were from PG county or DC so all i heard was GO-GO. It took a while but after constantly hanging in "The CiTY" with those dudes and the surrounding areas made me love it. Still perfer it over BMore music till this day.

Lol awwwwww.....well I was just curious. Ppl definitely have different opinions on the levels of crank they are use to hearing from a particular band. When some don't uphold that level of potential...they are deemed as "slumming". I get it...but In my opinion...they killed it...considering they were on a back of a truck...outside--where the acoustics are off. I take all of that in consideration too. It's hard to perform outside and try to achieve that level of sound.

Do you remember Chuck Brown in the late 90s at the Legends where we met for that weekly Go-Go thing? $10 was the gate,$5 got you some watered-down drinks,you did what you could with the messed up restroom and dark dance floor chocked with 420 and Newport smoke stayed packed. But for a few hours every week Chuck Brown or Sugar Bear transported us to a new realm of carefree happiness. Afterward we nursed our munchies at the Ihop on Suitland avenue with a 4am Omelettes,Pancakes or waffles.You also had the last chance to pull one if you had struck out at the Legends. Do I miss the 90s? Naaa.
